Happy New Year, everyone! 
Before this year, I’d never really done anything to celebrate the new year, even when it was the
millenium. It never really seemed like a big deal. But this year, because it’s the last new year that my group
of friends are going to be together, we had a large sleepover at mine, watching the countdown with Jools Holland.
It was a really nice night, (despite the fact that most of us didn’t get to sleep until about seven thirty in
the morning. 
)
Me neither, KE! I’ve always watched to ball drop - ever since my parents
deemed me old enough to stay up til midnight. 
Usually I stay at home with my family. We play games all
night, maybe have some sparkling grape juice, then watch the ball drop. Ever since last year, we’ve had a new
tradition, too - poppers. Of course, the ones we used this year weren’t that great, and mine was a dud.
But it was still fun to make such a mess.

Uh. My family and I went out to eat, because our power had gone out at home. When we came it
was on again. My dad had bought a surrond system that day, so he was setting it up… After that we kinda watched
TV and drank Sparkling Cocktail… basically fake wine. 
I’m kinda sad I missed the Gorillaz,
apprently they were preforming that night on some station we don’t have.
Yeah, they were showing it on an HD channel, Sammeh, so unless you’ve actually got an
HD TV, you couldn’t have watched it- I had to miss it too.
I do have an HD TV, and satilite with HD channels but I don’t think we had that channel. XD Ah
well…
Other then that it was a good New Years. I ran into my friend whom I thought had gone away for
vaction, but I guess she was back. I also made my mother play DDR with me. XD I cna’t really laugh since I’m
only good at the begginer level.
