Hey everyone! Have a happy new year!!
Well, that was a crazy night. I’ve only really just recovered. I spent the night clubbing in Brighton with a few friends, and we stayed at a friend of a friend’s house. There wasn’t really a proper countdown in the club- we only noticed it was new year when everyone was suddenly shouting and we were like, “what’s all the noise about?”
Boy, New Year’s Eve was one heck of a night for me!
Me and my brother basically played video games, and watched some South Park & Beavis & Butt-head episodes, but at around midnight, things got a bit crazy (not too much, just a bit).
Right before midnight, we were on the balcony of my mom’s condo and my brother was about to pop a champagne bottle, when some kids started clanging pots & pans, screaming “Happy New Year!” really loudly. Then, after we popped the bottle, some group of teens (who were probably partying) started cheering, too. As well, even though fireworks are illegal in Canada, some people actually fired some off.
10 minutes or so, after midnight, we wrote 2010 on the cork and left it on a shelf for memories (yay, we have a new tradition! ) … and then mixed some champagne with some fruit juice. I was basically awake for 6 more hours!
