New Year's Resolutions

I’m making a resolution to stop swearing altogether, and to lose more weight so I don’t die from being fat. >_<

Also, like always, I want to get my novel done.

So, what are some of your resolutions?

I want to gain some weight and start working out again… seriously, I’m all bone. Heheheh.

Also, I want to start writing a pilot episode for an animated sitcom I’ve had in my head for a year and a half.

And most importantly, start drawing seriously again, including doing the sketches I promised everyone.

I ain’t going to make any New Year Resolutions; As i know that i’m going to break them.

Here Here!!

FONY and Bill: your resolutions are really unique and interesting. Good luck with them.

I don’t usually have New Year’s resolutions, but this year I am going to try to:

  • start keyboard lessons.
  • buy a Nintendo Wii + lots of games.
  • stop buying Ratatouille stuff so I can put money away to buy WALL●E stuff…
  • figure out want I want to do in terms of a career/look into studying.

The first three are relatively easy, but I’ll have to work on the last one. I’m happy for it to finally be 2008 so I can have a fresh start.

My resolution for the new year is to get better marks in Math class and pass the exam, mainly because my father promised me a trip to England. Otherwise I don’t have any resolution.

I managed to get through half my resolution from last year. That was to do a digital sketch a day. Today I have about the equivalent early july.
This year I will make the same resolution, only this time make it either a somewhat full sketchbook page, or at least a well rendered character/object/scene. Practice makes perfect!

  1. Don’t let your school grades slip like last year.
  2. Limit computer time.
  3. Don’t eat just for the sake of it.
  4. Moreover, don’t turn into a fat nerd.
  5. Get at least one piece of artwork published somewhere.

My only New Year’s resolution for 2008 is to avoid procrastination.

~~=oP

Perhaps (and this is just a perhaps) maybe be less indecisive, less mean and cynical.

I wanna continue going to the gym… I started my diet in October and feel absolutely fabulous… I want to continue going going despite my classes and work. I also want to write more musical compositions, since that’s my major. :stuck_out_tongue:

  1. Actually revise for exams.
  2. Try harder. At everything.
  3. Do more art.
  4. Actually partake in some form of exercise once in a while.
  5. Go to bed at a reasonable time every night, and get up at a reasonable time in the morning.
  6. Stop making so many resolutions.

Heheheh, if it’s not too late, I’d actually like too add some resolutions.

Here’s my new list of resolutions.

  1. Gain weight/ start working out again
  2. Start writing a pilot episode for an animated sitcom I’ve had in my head for a year and a half
  3. Start drawing seriously again/ start working on sketches I promised everyone
  4. Look up straight, don’t hunch over
  5. aviod procrastination

Everyone’s resolutions are starting to make me feel inspired. What creative and varied resolutions there are in this thread. Keep 'em coming.

Eat Healthier

Here is my list.

Be a better brother
Get a good part in the school musical and/or One Acts
Get my first ever 4.0 GPA
Be more responsible
Do better than last year
Get accepted into college

and more to come.

Actually, I umm…I never make a point to make New Year’s resolutions because I…usually forget about them… :stuck_out_tongue: However, if I were to compile of list of things to do, I suppose that it would look something like this:

1. Improve my drawing skills.
2. Strive to not lose my writing skills.
3. Only watch Ratatouille when need be.

Like the last one’s ever gonna happen… (snigger)

Mitch - You have writing skills? (laughs) I actually think the last one is appropriate for you. If you don’t stop, you’ll be watching Ratatouille at Pixar, in your office… at your desk … when you’re supposed to be animating. And then you get fired. Ohhhh… maybe I went too far.

Bill - Hardy har har. :stuck_out_tongue: coughmyRatatouilletalescough (snigger)

Yeah, I agree with you on that last one, as well. Like I’m working on…The Incredibles 2 or something and Brad Bird walks into my cubicle, catching me in the act of watching Ratatouille

Bird: Lieutenant! What is the meaning of this rubbish?
Moi: I-I-I…I…
Bird: You’re fired!
Moi: Que?!

But back on-topic…

What I really hate about resolutions is that some time durring the year, I would forget them. At the end of the year, I would have no idea if I made my resoltions happen.
