Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

Hey! Forgive me if there’s already a thread for this. If there is, you may lock up and post a link to the already established thread.

I just got back home from watching Night at the Museum 2. And it was better than the first! A lot more suspenseful you could say, and extremely funny. Now, I’m not one to spoil anything, so i’m not gonna say anything yet. Not until more people get into the discussion of the movie. So here’s a thread to say your fave scenes from the movie.

Well, since I’m posting right now, I’m gonna say something I enjoyed about the movie in full. Jedidiah (the figurine cowboy for those of you who don’t remember his name) has a bigger role this time around. Yay! He’s my fave character (also played by Owen Wilson, my fave actor) from the movies! Plus, he’s just so cool! Well, I’m gonna stop blabbing. So what did all you like about the movie?

Awesome! Today’s my sister’s birthday and tomorrow is my brother’s birthday! We’re gonna see it tomorrow as a gift to both of them. Don’t be afraid to put stuff about the movie, just put it in [spoil]spoilers.[/spoil] Sounds good? I’ll be able to talk about it tomorrow. See ya then!

I now have my review of the film over @ http://www.filmwins.blogspot.com!!! Check it out!

I was supposed to go see this today but something came up  I’ll probably see this tomorrow though, I’ll tell you guys what I think then

It was a pretty okay movie. It was entertaining, and definitely interesting with all the history, and statues, paintings etc. The story wasn’t very storng, and it had the same elements that alot of sequels had. Overall, it was what I had previously said entertaining, interesting, and funny. All the new characters where cool, but with the weak story, and character personalities I would give it 2 and a half stars.

I saw it on opening day because I liked the first one a lot. Sorry guys I didn’t really like this one. It seemed like the new characters seemed to forced and the good characters from the first like Robin Williams were ignored. Amy Adams and Owen Wilson had a very good performances, though those were the only actors I really liked. I think the story was kind of forced as it seems like they just wanted to reference the Smithsonian. I give it 1 star out of 4.

I’m probably going to see this movie tomorrow. But, since I see all these negative comments, I might see Terminator: Salvation instead.

I don’t think it was bad! You should definately go see it tomorrow mo. It will be worth your money.

I totally agree. This film is much better than the first.

I thought that the movie was hilarious!! I especially liked [spoil]when Jed and Octavius were slashing the people’s feet, when Octavius was charging to the White house, and the Einstein bobble-heads!!![/spoil]

I saw this today! I did think it was better than the first, but that might just be because I’ve been to the Smithsonian museums a ton of times because I live in the Washington area  My favorite parts were [spoil]when Grouch and Darth Vader wanted to join the evil team, when Octavius was charging the White House, the balloon dog in the Washington Art Museum, I thought it was really cool how they made the paintings come alive, that was creative  [/spoil] but I’ve gotta say,[spoil]the Jonas Brothers love cherub things I thought were really annoying and unnecessary [/spoil]

[spoil]I didn’t realize the cupids were the Jo Bro’s until my sister pointed it out to me. I could care less about them though.[/spoil] Yes, those were funny moments Burn-E and woody!

I just saw it today for Memorial Day- I must say it was hilarious! It’s probably one of the better sequels. [spoil]Haha, I just knew I recognized the Cupids’ voices! It’s weird- they came off as kind of annoying/disturbing but also funny at the same time.[/spoil]

My favorite parts were: [spoil]The part where Oscar the Grouch and Darth Vader showed up; where Octavius was charging through the grass; “It seems my parents changed the combination on me.”; the two capuchin monkeys meeting; the encounter with Brandon (“Brunden”); the pictures coming to life. [/spoil]

I must say, it’s nice to see Amy Adams, the actress of damsel-in-distress Giselle from Enchanted play a more adventurous, strong female.

However, I thought it was kinda unneccessary to [spoil]have Amelia Earheart fall in love with Larry. I liked the addition of Amelia Earheart as a sort of supporting character, but why are movie relationships almost always forced in? It’s like more than 90% of the time in movies, if you have two main characters of opposite genders, they just have to have a romantic relationship. Even in some T.V. shows. It gets annoying, and too predictable. What’s wrong with just friends for once? [/spoil]

I totally agree BDD! I think the only movie that I’ve seen where there are two non-romantic opposite gender main characters was Finding Nemo

I disagree at least on this one. It was funny and when she [spoil]showed up at the end playing a normal girl,[/spoil] I thought that was sweet. I’m a big sofite!!!

I was hoping this movie would be a lot funnier than it was. Dont get me wrong it was a good movie, but after seeing the first one i was hoping to see them step it up a bit.

Im a big Ben Stiller fan though so u can never go wrong with him!

Great movie, i just think it had a lot more potential.

I enjoyed the first movie theatrically… it had its moments, funny and heartwarming. The best thing I can say about the first is that it is a pleasant distraction and is good-natured, light-hearted fun.

The sequel looks to be no different, so I don’t expect my views to be challenged or run through the whole emotional gamut (like with most Pixar and classic Disney films). I may be proven wrong, though, but I guess I’ll only find out when I rent it on DVD.

I love this movie! My friend and I always quote it.

“The Cube of Rubick!”

And I agree with CMB, Ben Stiller is just amazing.

I liked this movie, but I think I like the first one better.

I don’t really remember the first one, but after seeing the trailers, I didn’t expect this one to be that good. It was a lot better than I thought it would be though! Everything Hank Azaria said had me in stitches, especially the scene with [spoil]Darth Vader[/spoil]. I hadn’t seen the trailer with that character in it, so it was a complete surprise for me when he showed up.
