No Rat Ad for the Super Bowl

Not sure if this has been posted…

Sorry

guys.

(Nevertheless, I can’t wait for the MTR one!)

:open_mouth:
No! No! No!
I can’t believe this! Aww Man!

When will we see

it now?

Although, I guess it’s good news for MTR.

Does Ratatouille still have time to buy a spot?

Noo! Why , why??? :`-( :`-(

Looks like I won’t be watching the

superbowl . This is why I do not like football .

Aw man! That’s not fair – I told my whole family that there would probably be a tv spot. Oh

well…

The good news is that production for the film ended last week, which is at least something!

Perhaps that’s why there isn’t any new trailer? They were busy finishing up the film…

That is good news Mitch! But how

do you know?

JV - Oh man – I take it back! Haha – I thought they were talking about

Ratatouille when I read that part in the article. That last part actually referred

to Meet the Robinsons; that’s one whose production ended last week.

Me and

my fast reading. Heheh – sorry about that! :stuck_out_tongue:

But…that’s good news, too! (snigger) Since

Meet the Robinsons is finished, it’ll definitely be ready for its release date.

Mitch - According to

IMDb Ratatouille is in Post-production!
I guess MTR is when

we will get to see the 1st or should I say 2nd Ratatouille trailer.

I’m not big on my movie vocab here , what does post-production mean ?

Post-Production means after the production of the movie.

JV: no, The

Super bowl is only one week away. I don’t think it will have time to get a spot.

TSS - I’m really disappointed then.

gottalovepixar- Post-Production means there done with all the actual main part of

the production and they’re just cleaning it up. Some sound work, final editing, and tinkering are done in this

period.

look on the positive

side guys. I know we are all sad that there isn’t gonna be a Ratatouille commercial, but think of it this way.

Pixar still continues to amp up our excitement by not showing us anything.

Yeah, and maybe the trailer will be attached with Meet the

Robinsons…i hope cross fingers

That’s disappointing.

I was looking

forward to a good Ratatouille TV spot during the super bowl. After the Cars spots last year, I hoped this would

become a tradition.

On the bright side, we might not have long to wait for a Ratatouille

trailer, which I would take over a TV spot any day! Last year, Cars had two

trailers, one released mid-February and the other mid-March. So, assuming Pixar will continue that pattern, the

first trailer should be here soon. As JV suggested, I think Meet the Robinsons will probably include

a trailer on March 30th. But don’t forget, Disney’s

other upcoming family film, “Bridge to Terabithia”, will be in theaters on

February 16. This is just my theory, of course, but I think (and hope) we could see the first Ratatouille

trailer in just over two weeks!

I don’t remember any Superbowls apart from last year’s - mostly because due

to Sunday night church I wasn’t really able to watch them - but I think that having a Cars ad during the game

was probably more of a one-time thing. I think that a strong correlation can be made between football fans and

NASCAR fans, and Disney/Pixar (my guess would be more Disney than Pixar) probably thought that a Cars Superbowl

ad would be smart advertising. On the other hand, Ratatouille is more of a generic movie (conversely, Cars could

be seen to appeal slightly more to racing fans), and so to have a Superbowl ad might not garner viewers in the

same way a Cars ad did/would have. Maybe they think that kids don’t watch the Superbowl. I know I didn’t until

I was older and realized how fun Superbowl commercials were.

Yeah, and I’m sure Disney wanted an MTR ad instead because it’s out a lot sooner as well.

Yeah that’s too bad. I didnt catch much of the Superbowl

so I probably wouldnt have seen it anyway, but seeing the Cars ad last year really got me excited for it! (until

i was sidetracked by the Olympics for the next 2 1/2 weeks anyway) So it would have been cool to see. I told my

mom there might be a spot, but oh well.

I didn’t even

watch the superbowl. With no Ratatouille ad, I can see why.

I also saw most of the SB and commercials.
Not ‘Rat’ trailer appeared

during the event
