Nomanisan Island

We have had an in-depth discussion on this, but I want to know what everyone thinks about this

beautiful, remote, yet dangerous island. Any thoughts and theories are welcomed. Talk about how it got started,

the Security force on the island, all of the areas, anything you want.

You know I like to think that the NSA took over tha facilities on the island, I mean it would be a shame to let

all that advanced technology go to waste.

My thought is that the NSA turned it into one of their

headquarters and it became a training facility for new Supers. Perhaps Dash and Violet were sent there for

training. In fact it is soo High Tech there is every reason to think that it became the new main headquarters for

the NSA. The amount of technology that they aquired must have been uncanny.

All I have to say is that I just noticed the pun

they put into “Nomanisan Island” -“No Man Is An Island” 8D

Pixfan – Oh, pishaw! That’s great!

We do know that the mountain is

has an active volcano, so that could mean it’s a recent island, maybe even so new the governments of the world

didn’t know about it: perfect for Syndrome and his gang!

SPACEHERO55 brought up a good point. Exactly what did happen to Nomanisan Island after the

movie? Well, I like his idea of a a training spot for Violet and Dash. But I would like to think of it this

way.

The NSA now owns the island. This is their separate research and testing facility, where they test

their own robots and weapons for Supers to use. They utalize everything on the island. From the docking bay to

the prison cells to even the suite rooms.

I’ve always thought Nomanisan Island is a very sexy setting, a land of temptation.

For Bob, it was the thrill of action, yet we know Mirage helped lure him. Syndrome was wise to employ her, as

evil as his intentions were.

Lol, I actually mentioned Nomanisan Island in English

yesterday- we were talking about a poem called ‘Island Man’, so I pointed out the link.

But yeah,

I like the idea of the island being used for the training of Supers. It would be a pretty good place to do so, as

it does have a good variety of landscapes.

Do you think that the NSA could turn the Island into a

Resort Getaway spot?

ROFL! Yeah! I’ll bet that travel agents jumped on it straight away! 'Visit

the beautiful island resort! See the place where Mr Incredible and Elastigirl fought evil! Map to the stars’

crime scenes!’

I mean, if you look at the beautiful beach views, the magnificent ocean and waterfall

spots, a monorail ride, a nice sandy beach, green scenery, a volcano, and top it off with a nice guest suite, it

would make a perfect relaxation spot for any Super Hero who need some relaxation.

Well all I can say now is that I’m just

realizing how that name is pronounced. I was reading it as No Man Is Sane which is amusing but didnt make sense

to me because there’s no ‘e’ there and that’s not how it would be pronounced. But now that I know you put the

word island in there it totally makes sense! I feel a little stupid now :stuck_out_tongue:

How do you guys think Syndrome started Nomanisan Island?

My guess is he found this island using some high-tech satellite…

That is a good theory. I would like to think that he needed a place to store all of his weapons. Like Gasduude said, a remote island was a perfect spot. With the money he earned from selling his weapons, Syndrome installed monorails, a secret base, a huge computer (Kronos database), a prison cell, security systems and guards, and some other things.

That island had a name? Wow, I’m surprised.

Makes me wonder how Syndrome named it nomanisan.

Question: How do we know that’s the islands name? I’m not doubting, just wondering…was it one of those DK books?

I don’t think that is the islands name before but when Syndrome came in, he named it Nomanisan.

I believe Buddy named the island Nomanisan because of his rejection by Mr. Incredible. He’s trying to get the message across that one man isn’t strong enough, and even though he’s trying to get an opposite message across about himself as a “super”, in his heart, he knows it to be untrue.

This all comes back to our In-depth discussion with Nomanisan Island doesn’t it?
