Normally I'm too shy to ask...

Okay…

I normally hate asking for things. But I am just curious… but does anyone know of any sites that has a big archive of screencaps from Ratatouille… particular catelogued by character? I’d like to find alot of Rémy captures, mostly “emotional”-type caps displaying different emotions.

Why… you might ask… ? Well, I ain’t no graphics artist, of course. But I have a LiveJournal and all. And, although I do got a custom “mood theme”. I also like having my own custom icons/avatars also themed around moods, as well. I normally don’t like just random icons/avatars.

I have a good friend with whom I’m rather close to that does graphics for me(my avatar/sigpic for example). And I was gonna see if he could turn any of these certain depictions of the “little chef” into a decent scheme for my LiveJournal.

I don’t want to request or anything. I’d just like to be pointed in the right direction, is all. I do tons of Google searches. I even looked on Photobucket and came up with miniscule results. And so I thought I’d ask some people from a Pixar fan community. Since you people seem to be really deep into it. And I’m slowly yet surely assimilating myself into it.

“Resistance is futile… may you be a fan of Pixar forever, especially Ratatouille!” Haha.

Here are a couple good sites.

If there is a certain capture you want, just ask a fellow member and maybe we can help.

Thank you so very much.

I think these’ll be most useful, for sure. I normally prefer more scenarios where emotions(by facial expression) are shown from the characters. And that’s what I’m looking for. But those two spots will most definitely work out.

Now I can probably get some better graphics made. Hehe.

Thank you for posting tha TSS, i found it very useful.

you are so welcome you guys. I also have a DVD player that captures images. If there is one you want, just ask.

If there is a particular image I want from any of Pixar’s movies, I usually just play it on my computer and screencap it myself. I’m usually very particular about what frames I want.

Sounds like you and I are on the same boat rachel. I am kinda picky with my caps too. Screencaps you find on the internet can give you the right moment, but not the exact shot you want.

If only everyone had a DVD player in their computer. :imp:

I’m sorry A113. WOuld you like a screencap? I or rachel can get it for you if you want.

TSS: Well, that would be great, but K9Girl has really been dying for some Ratatouille stuff. I’ll tell her to PM you; is that okay?

Stupid question here, but if you do have a DVD player built into your computer, is getting screencaps simply a matter of playing the DVD and pressing ‘print screen’? I had a friend who used to do it for me on her computer and email the pictures over, but I’ve never actually done it myself. :stuck_out_tongue:

I could get screencaps if I wanted with VLC Player and it’s screencapture functions. But it never really slows down and I can’t just pause it and go back to that pivotal moment of the thing I want to capture it. The slider thing acts all crazy weird on me.

Oh well… I’ve been able to turn some of those favorite moments into excellent things like new “LiveJournal” icons and such(thanks to my friend for being kind to make 'em, as well!). And I also got a new DeviantArt avatar that he made with specific scenarios I chosen for it, as well.

Hehehe, so I’m just really happy and all. And those captures from those two links alone have been enough help.

I once borrowd a laptop with PowerDVD, but pressing Print Screen wouldn’t work; you had to use PowerDVD’s take snapshot tool. I’m not sure if it would work with other DVD software, though.
