This is not a real spoiler though I’m going to use the spoiler tag.
I’ve got (as I said in previous posts) an insider friend who for professional reasons knows something about Pixar future projects.
A few hours ago we were chatting via sms and besides other topics we discussed about Wall-e (I know I’m a little obsessed with this tiny and lovable bot) and then suddenly my friend write that a tragic final was considered but scrapped later on: Wall-e stops working , so it’s practically dead maybe in the arms of EVE. That was probably too much for a Pixar movie even for a more adult oriented like Wall-e.
Probably this is a joke 'cause my friend has a dark sense of humor, but I decided to post it anyway after hours of ruminations.

Egh…
I read it
and I REALLY hope that’s not how it ends. because then the movie would be SOOOOOO spoiled. I was thinking that’s how its gonna end, but then never mind, since u said that.
No that seemed to be an alternate ending not the real one. I don’t even know if it has been animated. My friend said it was scrapped so this is not the actual ending of the movie.

Well we’ll find out in November of 2008 when the WALL-E DVD comes out, in the deleted scenes.
Or maybe in the Blu Ray version !?
That would be quite the downer if that were the ending. I’m glad they decided to change gears on that.
To tell you the truth, I rather like that ending, although I highly doubt that Pixar would seriously consider using it as a definite conclusion to the film itsefl. Although it provides for a heartfelt and powerful ending, it’s almost too dramatic to show on screen simply for the sake of the vast array of young children that will attend a showing or two of the production, WALL-E. I, on the hand, think that it’s a brilliant conclusion. If adults were to be the only attendees, Pixar could make it work on an adequate level, but since the studio generally rolls out family-oriented features, a depressing ending isn’t the best option.
That’s a shame, though. I really would like to see something like that, as I’m a sucker for emotional sequences. Oh well…

I totally agree with you , can you imagine millions of toddlers crying loud and millions of adults trying to soothe them while suffucating their own tears?
clabot2700 - Haha. Yes, I can imagine a similar outcome, but, boy, wouldn’t it be a powerful and emotional ending. I’d pay big to see something like that…

I was actually imagining it ending like that. And yes it would make sense. I could picture it now, so sad, but so… artistic.
I’m surprised your friend divulged such information to you but even more surprised you posted it.
~~=oP
Since this is not the chosen ending , technically I’m not spoiling anything.Anyway considering an unhappy ending is normal in the movie industry.
