Noticed something new

You know, one of the great things about Cars is that every time you watch it you notice some new things. I have been watching bits of it every night this week and just now I noticed something.

In the race at the end it focuses on a Cars family, a little purple baby car with two parents. (In the one scene the kid car is holding a little toy airplane and shakes it when the planes fly over)

Well, right after the King’s crash it cuts to the Cars family again (real quickly so I didnt’ notice it before) and there is the little purple kid car holding a flag saying “The King” with this terrible look of fear and sadness on his face. Then when Lightning pushes the King it cuts back to them (just for a second) and it shows the kid and his parents looking moved. The look on the kids face after the King crashed made me want to cry, I am such a sap.

Has anyone else noticed things in the movie on a second or third (or fourth or fifth) viewing that they didn’t notice before?

Oh yes, definately! :smiley: Occasionally I’ll still notice

a detail I haven’t noticed before.

It is very interesting what you have noticed because on both my dvds

they are not showing the Cars family after The Kings crash but some other cars. What version of the dvd do you

have?

I don’t know, I just have the dvd from Blockbuster online.

I’m in the U.S. I’m pretty sure it was the kid car holding the King flag…now you have me confuzzled…I hope

I am not hallucinating. But I’m pretty sure its the same kid who was waving the toy airplane. It showed other

cars too. It was really fast, though.

Am I going crazy?

I went like “WHOA” when I read your first post because I have

never seen the Cars family more than that first time they are showed and I just couldn’t understand that I

wouldn’t have noticed them (considering the amount of times I have wathed the movie :unamused: ), so I went and

checked both my dvds (UK and Danish/International) and sure thing on both of them it shows some other cars with

“mustaches” and not the family. That would be really interesting if the US version is different like

that :slight_smile:. I thought the US and the UK version were the same except from who’s voicing Harv.

Was one of those cars with mustaches
waving a King flag? I’m almost completely positive it was that kid car and his family. I’ll have to check again when I have time.

I am not really sure how to answer this. I managed to catch most of the stuff that would usually take a

second viewing to find, maybe because I been hanging around PP a while and saw someone post about what to look

for and where to find it.

Yes, one of the cars with “mustache” is holding a King flag, but that car is blue. He is showed after The King’s crash. When McQueen is pushing The King and some spectators are showed that blue car isn’t showed again cause it’s yet again different cars but none of them are the cute little family.
Eh, I find it hard to explain this in
English :blush: I hope you understand what I’m trying to say :slight_smile:. I would show some screenshots if I could but the computer I usually use has broken down and is away to be fixed, so I’m using a different computer and this one can’t play dvds.

Another thing I noticed is Sally’s rear wing. Sometimes it’s up and sometimes it’s down. Anyone else notice that?

way it is. I’ve read somewhere that the Porsche 911 Carrera’s rear wing lifts up at high speeds… :wink:

I can’t find them again on my version, but that’s so sweet! It is very cool when you notice things that you never noticed before.

I remembered the stuff about the kid. It’ll be easier to scan the film for stuff like that once the Blu-Ray comes out.
