While I agree it’s probably the phone talking, you can’t base it off the fact the phone is just a shell. That would mean it couldn’t make sound anyways…
Well, it can in the Toy Story world. But you can’t turn it into a working telephone/walky talky.
I personally am pretty sure the phone is doing the talking. The way he moves his eyes, and the way the (eyebrows?/eyelids?) seems sort of baddie-like.
plus he’s a toy…pretty sure you can’t call the plastic phone. Although, [spoil]Mr. and Mrs. Potato head can see through their eyes, even when they are sepearated[/spoil] so you never know…stranger things do happen
According to a TS3 playset, the creepy baby doll is simply called “Big Baby”. Also, in the train scene, [spoil]Buzz comes up from below and saves the train from falling down the canyon.[/spoil] I can’t wait for that sequence.
So does that mean that “Big Baby = Babyface”? Their names really do seem similar now. [spoil]And I’d like to know how Buzz does that myself![/spoil]

I’m starting to wonder about this whole [spoil]train sequence[/spoil] . I had an idea the other day, that it could be Woody and the gang [spoil]having Woody’s Roundup adventures? The whole train, and bridge being blown out, really reminds me of the Woody’s Roundup episodes from TS2 for some reason. Maybe they’re just continuing the adventures on their own?[/spoil]
I am gonna be buying all of those playsets.
I think we’ve established the train scene is the first scene from the trailer (the home movies), you can see toy versions of the bridge, train. monkey, and of course Woody Buzz and Jessie. Since it seems it’s based on Andy’s imagination, I reckon Buzz just swoops in as super-strong space ranger and saves the day, then it’s revealed it’s Andy dreaming.playing or perhaps Woody’s imagination…
Totally random speculation: Velocistar237= Rex.
We know from Toy Story 2 he’s a video game nut. So hes probably playing some game with Trixi online.
I actually suspected this, but why would his screenname be based on the word “velociraptor”? Wouldn’t a better screenname for him be “Tyrannostar237”?
Overcompensating? T-rex’s are known for their short arms, not to mention they’ve kinda been demoted to being just a scavenger recently. Maybe he’s self conscious about it and thanks to the anonymity of the Internet he can pretend to be a raptor, a much more agile and to some people, a cooler dinosaur than a t-rex. Probably have Jurassic park to thank for that.
He could just be a fan of rapors, it could just be his avatar character.

Just one thing that makes me not sure if its Rex though…Woody’s there on his own, or so it seems, with the new toys. If he’s gone, and out of Andy’s house…looking for maps, wouldn’t that mean that Rex and the gang are already at the daycare?
I assumed that was just an office in the daycare, but it is a good point that Rex would need to be in some other location. but its not unreasonable to think they wont get separated at some point, they always do. its just a matter of will rex ever be home (or somewhere safe) with computer access to play games online? I mean if there’s some sort of crisis, Rex wouldn’t have the time to entertain himself with a videogame. then again he was lost in TS2 and still couldn’t keep his mind off games, he was reading game guide when he was far from home safe. but playing games and reading about them are kinda different.
Anyway, it might be possible that Woody is in Andy’s dorm or campus or something near the end of the film, and rex would be home or somewhere.
Where ever Rex ends up, it would have to be accross the street if Trixi isnt lying.
So maybe, the theories about Trixie and Rex are true. But, maybe it really is another dinosaur.
I’ve got a new theory from the trailer.
That scene where Woody jumps off the roof of the Day care. I think he’s being chased by the bad guys, so he has no choice but to jump. Don’t know about that tree part, maybe he’s trying to get back in.
The part where he falls and gets caught on his string are two different scenes, The first cut of him falling with scissors is when he tries to get to the ither toys in the garbage sack. When he’s caught by his string, he’s at the daycare. The designs by the plant are the same seen at the beginning as you see the van drive up to the daycare to drop off the box
Well, Trixie could be lying, she’s obviously trying to hide the identity of veocistar. The only thing is: where would they be if not the daycare? Since there are those other toys…unless Andy’s roommate is a fan of Totoro, Mr. Prcklepants, and that rag-doll, and trixie, they aren’t in his dorm.
