Official Teaser/Trailer Discussion

these are rly good ideas actually…

Just one thing that makes me not sure if its Rex though…Woody’s there on his own, or so it seems, with the new toys. If he’s gone, and out of Andy’s house…looking for maps, wouldn’t that mean that Rex and the gang are already at the daycare?

I assumed that was just an office in the daycare, but it is a good point that Rex would need to be in some other location. but its not unreasonable to think they wont get separated at some point, they always do. its just a matter of will rex ever be home (or somewhere safe) with computer access to play games online? I mean if there’s some sort of crisis, Rex wouldn’t have the time to entertain himself with a videogame. then again he was lost in TS2 and still couldn’t keep his mind off games, he was reading game guide when he was far from home safe. but playing games and reading about them are kinda different.

Anyway, it might be possible that Woody is in Andy’s dorm or campus or something near the end of the film, and rex would be home or somewhere.

Where ever Rex ends up, it would have to be accross the street if Trixi isnt lying.

So maybe, the theories about Trixie and Rex are true. But, maybe it really is another dinosaur.

I’ve got a new theory from the trailer.
That scene where Woody jumps off the roof of the Day care. I think he’s being chased by the bad guys, so he has no choice but to jump. Don’t know about that tree part, maybe he’s trying to get back in.

The part where he falls and gets caught on his string are two different scenes, The first cut of him falling with scissors is when he tries to get to the ither toys in the garbage sack. Notice the scissors in this by the window, his next move is most likely what we see in the trailer: youtube.com/watch?v=667JC_jg3EA

When he’s caught by his string, he’s at the daycare. The designs by the plant are the same seen at the beginning as you see the van drive up to the daycare to drop off the box

Well, Trixie could be lying, she’s obviously trying to hide the identity of veocistar. The only thing is: where would they be if not the daycare? Since there are those other toys…unless Andy’s roommate is a fan of Totoro, Mr. Prcklepants, and that rag-doll, and trixie, they aren’t in his dorm.

anyone notice towards the end of this trailer: youtube.com/watch?v=_D58_HA0qCc

you hear :Let’s go!" Probably the army men, but then you hear: “Good luck folks…you’re gonna need it”…Who said that? Is that Lotso’s evil voice, or perhaps that phone, if it was indeed the phone talking itself…

EDIT- Please don’t double post within 24 hours, thanks!

I’m wondering that too cause that doesn’t sound like R. Lee Ermey’s voice.

I’m guessing it’s the same phone that Woody’s listening to…it sounded like he was making a threat, buy what he means by “You and your friends ain’t ever gettin’ outta here” was probably a warning, about Lotso’s plan and how they’re not gonna be able to make it out, so good luck.

seems like the army men to me. remember. we usually only hear them yelling, so they probably sound different. and doesn’t R. Lee Ermey only play the sarge? there are dozens of soldiers we’ve never heard speak outside of “hut hut hut” so I think this is the most likely case.

I just looked for the first time serioulsy at the “just a dinosaur”, and where are they? That’s obiously not Andy’s computer, anywhere in his house because of the other toys present. But I thought it was part of the daycare, but there’s a doggy door on the door behind them, as well as a chair that’s probably part of a kitchen. Are they at someone else’s house? Perhaps the same place you see appear when you ‘meet Buttercup’ on the official site.

I found this short clip on the swedish Disney channel site. And uploaded it on youtube. it’s a new clip from toy story 3 youtube.com/watch?v=RNEwJhYijWc

Ah, so the Army Men are bailing out (or what remains of them) cause they don’t want to get thrown away by Andy’s mom. I can see where this fits with the old trailer:

Woody: “Who said anything about trash bags?”

Rex: “We’re getting thrown away?!”

Woody: “No, no one’s getting thrown away!”

Great find. Even if it was just that one scene, I’d still be happy to see the Army Men at all in the film.

yeah it fits very well with the old trailer actually, and the new international one too.

You guy’s brought up good points on my last theory. But I do have one question regarding a trailer and a sneak peak…

In One sneak peak, Andy is shown putting all the toys in a bag. Now in the trailer he’s shown putting every one in a box. Does the bag tear up, letting the mother see this and she tells Andy to put them all in a box?

The movie doesn’t come out in the UK until July 23rd , aaaaagggeeess awaaaay :frowning:

In sweden it comes out July 28… :stuck_out_tongue:

I was discussing this way back in this forum…I hate to think it, but I believe it’s at the end, when Andy gets all his toys back, that he’s putting them in the box. Notice he’s wearing a different shirt, and the walls have no posters and the shelves are empty, so I’m guessing he’s been off to college by now, as you see when he’s putting them in the sack, his room still has lots of stuff in it. Also, he’s wearing different clothes. At the scene when he’s putting them in the box, however, he looks slightly older, so I would guess that’s after a long while of college that he gets them, back and decides to put them in the attic or save them for his kids. Notice he doesn’t put Woody in the box though…

YouUnculturedSwine: That would make sense, but also remember that [spoil]Molly is apparently getting Andy’s room after he leaves, so if it did take place that far in the future it would probably be filled with Molly’s stuff and not just be empty like that.[/spoil]

Oh yeah…although we can really only see a corner of the room really…she could still be moving into there. Perhaps it is before Andy leaves. We hear Jessie say they have to get home before Andy leaves tomorrow, so I’m guessing they accomplish that. Maybe he finds them the morning he’s leaving, then takes Woody to college (that’ll be a real heart-breaker). Then, he’s asked at college why he took Woody, and he gives the whole "Woody’s no ordinary toy " speech, although that may just be Woody’s dream like I kinda think.

Even though it seems like it fits, I’m afraid for it to happen. If it does happen that is. [spoil]I don’t want any of the toys to be separated, let alone Woody. It’ll break my heart.[/spoil] But if I had to guess, [spoil]if they do get separated when they finally make it back to Andy, I hope that Andy brings Woody back home when he visits for the holidays, or that he decides to leave him home.[/spoil]
