I know it’s not a
Pixar film, but does anyone else plan to see Open Season ?
It looks so ADORABLE .
I love Elliot
the deer and the little Porcupine so far. My favorite line fom the trailer is when Elliot says " I’m half
doe, and half buck … I’m a Duck . "
I’d like to hug that cute widdle deer and the porcupine too
!!!
I planing to see Open
Season. Yea it does look funny.

Gotta love a comedy film.
I knew the storyline way back as far as the beginning of last year. I’ve been
anxious! I’m gonna see it at an IMAX theater just to hype it up even more!
Ya sure you wanna HUG a porcupine?

I’ll be watching Open Season on
opening day right before work. I’ve been anxiously waiting for this movie ever since I saw the preview for it
in front of Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire last year.
Elliot’s already my fave. ^^
I love
the battle gear the wild animals have assembled. The porcupine wearing the spaghetti strainer is
priceless.

Ah yes, I remember seeing the preview for this in the cinema before…Well, Cars, I
think. It did look pretty good, and actually strangely unique.
I don’t know if I’ll see it. If I do, I’m sure it’ll
b because of the Scottish squirrels. Gotta love accents . . . .
I wont be seeing it. I wanted to see that Everyone’s Hero movie only cuz of the
talking baseball but I havent gotten around to it yet. I got issues with seeing computer animated movies that
arent Pixar ones. I dont know why…
Yes, I’ve been that way too, especially
during the PIXAR/Disney Divorce of 2004-2006, but I’ve come to realize that it is a bit of a prejudice (though
in the “right” direction, if that can make sense).
I’m trying to be more open with some of the
other films. I just gotta keep reminding myself that there ARE animators outside of PIXAR and they want to tell
stories too . . . gotta give them some respect for that.
What makes PIXAR so great is that it’s a
near-guarentee that we’ll be seeing a hit (Oscar & Box-Office wise) . . . just gotta be more open!

IF ya didn’t know already the Co-Director of MI has worked on this also so it has to be worth a shot.

Well put! I wholeheartedly agree with you,
Phoenician.
It’s my opinion that Pixar makes the best movies, but it’s important to recognize that other
animation studios have amazing moviemaking skills, too.

I probally will, but only if Ember comes wit me!
Yeah, I found out yesterday - so THAT’s where Pete Doctor’s been hanging
out, at Sony!!
And thanks for the kind words, PIXARVixen!
Yeah I know. But most of them just look silly to me anyway. Pixar’s never
looked silly to me. Funny yes, but not silly. Plus I really only have the time and money to go see movies i
really want to see so that means mostly Pixar ones will push the others out. I still do wanna see that
Everyone’s Hero movie. Just cuz of that talking ball.

I dunno,
I getting a bit tired of all these “cute funny talking animal” CGI movies…However the animation looks
really cool so I’ll try and catch it.
OMG A guy I work with said almost exactly this at
work tonight. However, I don’t get tired of it myself.
Open Season was very cute and funny. Elliot was
great, but in the end, I liked Boog more than I thought I would. I loved his “face”. You’ll know
what I mean when you see the movie.
The animation was spectacular. Pixar is not the only studio that
has textures and weather elements down. But what does Pixar have over everyone else? Story. And
that’s what counts.

I just saw it today…
The good thing is: I didn’t yawn
once during the film.
The bad thing is: I wasn’t “head-over-heels”
for it.
Ok, so it wasn’t that bad. The plot could have used a little
fine-tuning, but the characters and top-notch computer animation more than make up for the movie’s lack of an
engaging story-line. I laughed pretty hard at that particular “potty-humor” scene between Boog and
Elliot – and speaking of Elliot, in think I’m in love with a new character. I almost cried when I thought
he…well…you know.
(heheh)
Overall, it was fun and full of good laughs, which is exactly
what I wanted. I’ll give it a C+ for effort. (Yep, I’m a true critic.
)
You took the words right out of my
mouth, PV!
It does have story…though it’s rather “hidden” beneath all the CGI effects and
crude humor (which I loved, coincidentally).
