Our Non-Pixar Compositions

Well, there was an official store one… but 1) our Wal-Mart is lame and never had it when we went (we searched like madmen, too), and 2) it wasn’t all that cute anyway. So we decided to make our own!

I’ll definitely do it again someday, now that I’ve found out how much I love sewing. Only this time, I’ll actually use a bigger pattern and a sewing machine to help. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you!

little chef

Does DoE have one, too? It just seems like you guys would have matching ones.

No, I only bought enough material to make one, unfortunately. (I thought I had bought enough to make two… turns out I was wrong.) And after all the work it took to make that one alone, I don’t think either one of us were up for it again. xDDD

little chef

I wanted to do this before the end of the year, since I’m kinda slow at posting my non-Pixar artwork here when I actually make it (I don’t get enough feedback around here, so I just post it all at once :frowning:), but I never got a chance to. I really feel bad that I haven’t been contributing to the Pixar fandom at all this year, but I got severely bitten by the HtTYD bug and I don’t think I’m going to stop drawing fan art anytime soon. :unamused:

Some of my best works since I last updated:

Sketch dump: 102110

HtTYD ‘Drawing Scene’

Hiccup and Toothless flying over the ocean

Modern!Fishlegs would so be a Pokemon lover

Loki, one of my original characters

Christmas card drawing for my dA friend

(Hurr hurr mainly posting so I can put one of these drawings in for the PP Awards… xDDD)

little chef

Very nice little_chef! I like the drawing scene best!

Thank you, e-j-e!

Today, January 7, happens to be the birthday of one of my most favorite HtTYD OCs, Rowan Thorston! (Hahaha it’s still the 7th where I am, so I’m safe! xD) I threw together a cute little scribble of him to sort of mark the occasion.

EDIT: Colored it!

little chef

I likes it! It’s very sweet of you to make that for him! And ha, you call that a scribble? It’s too good to be a little scribble!

Wow, I feel quite flattered! Yeah, he’s really become one of my most favorite original characters, partially because his personality and story is the most developed out of any of the others. It just wouldn’t be right for me not to draw a picture of him on his birthday! (That’s another thing… every single one of my characters have birthdays, and I write them all over my calendar!)

A few years ago, I was saying the same thing, and I’d get so jealous of people who could pop out really good drawings at lightning fast rates… now I’m doing the same thing and most of the time it feels effortless, and everyone else around me thinks it’s amazing, haha. :stuck_out_tongue: I really appreciate the kind words! Thank you!

little chef

Oh wow, this thread hasn’t been touched in a while! xD

I’m not as good at drawing as my sis, but hey - this is our thread, which means I can post up some of my stuff as well. None of my newer works are on DeviantArt, so I can only give you what I have. (Although some of you have already seen these, it doesn’t hurt to post them again, right?)

Some Mario fanart I did a while back

A huge Professor Layton sketch dump

Father/son drawings (that include some of little chef’s OC’s)

And finally: A HtTYD/Professor Layton crossover comic

Hope you guys like!

Yeah no kidding this thread has been sitting dormant for a long time. ;o;

I’ve been doing bits and pieces of art recently, but because I’m working it always makes it harder for me to be creative. Not all of the stuff I draw is Pixar-related, especially since I’m doing drawings of my original characters for a story I’m in the process of writing, so I thought I’d post a few things here for y’all to look at.

Some of it is writing, which I would cherish feedback on. ;u; And some of it is really old, so I’ll post from oldest to newest (so you can see progress).

a sketch of the members of the band Foster The People - April

painting of Sam Bell from Moon - May

Wreck-It Ralph - November

my sister as a Sugar Rush racer, dressed as Turbo - November

Most Recent:

portrait of Roger Chaffee, Apollo 1 astronaut

a portrait of my Mars astronauts (be happy because this is literally the only time and might be the only time I ever post all their faces on the internet)

Two writing pieces: the orbiter and EVA

summary of all my art from 2012

quick sketch of one of my original characters, Altair

and finally, a bunch more sketches of Sam Bell. (ps please watch Moon if you never have just take my word for it)

Thanks for looking!! ;u;

little chef

I’ve always enjoyed your work, and it’s awesome to see all your compositions from this year! You got a lot more art done than what I wanted to do!

My favorite is your sister as a sugar racer/Turbo. Cute idea, and it’s very well done. I also especially like the drawing of Foster The People.

A piece a week on average! Not a bad run for 2012, which is more than I can say for myself. :frowning:

Your sis is t-t-turbo-tastic!

Thanks so much guys!

A rarity - I drew some Mario fanart!

…Well, more like Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon fan art, but since when does little chef draw game fan art?

Yeah, I did some sketchies last night of the green ghosties from the game that you come in contact with most often. While annoying and sometimes really difficult, their mannerisms are super cute. ;u;

little chef

OhmyglobohmyglobohmyglobohmyglobOHMYGLOB! I’m actually thinking of getting Luigi Mansion 2 for my new Nintendo 3DS XL (which I bought before my trip to Sydney). Read praising reviews of it, I take it this another vote in confidence that it’s good?

Oh yeah, great sketches btw. No criticism I can think of.

Oh my goodness do I love those ghosts! their poses are so lively and cute ;.; it’s a great game! I enjoy how flowing your lines are, nothing looks stiff.

TDIT: A bit late here replying… but the fact that I’m still replaying Luigi’s Mansion would be a HUGE vote in confidence from me!

More Mario art… my sister and I are rebooting an old story idea of ours from 2004, and we hope to start a really big project with it within the next year! Prince Boo is our character… we’re always so sad that he’s not Mario canon. :frowning:

Another writing piece I did: titled Moving to Mars. It was inspired by the song by Coldplay, but is actually about one of my astronauts in the novel that I’m working on.
