Over The Hedge

Anyone else seen this? It was based off

a comic … I usually am loyal to either Disney or Pixar, but this one was rather good so I decided to mention

it. Normally animals walking on their back legs annoys me, but I soon began to look past that point. It had a lot

of funny moments; Hammy the squirrell, in particular, was a riot  I recommend seeing it if you haven’t. It’s

not the best, but worthwhile, in my opinion.

I

didn’t like it. I didn’t find anything special about it. Maybe I just had enough of CG animals or something,

but I didn’t see anything great about OTH. The squirrel was kinda funny, and the scene where the raccoon

explains how humans get food was pretty well played, but besides that, I have no intention on rewatching it.

Over The Hedge is my favorite Dreamworks animated film. It may not be Pixar quality,

but it’s very entertaining and made me laugh out loud several times. We currently have this movie at work, and

I try to watch it whenever an opportunity arises.

RJ and Hammy tie as my favorite characters. I really

love RJ because he always has cool ideas, but how can you not love hyper little

Hammy?

It was okay, I suppose…I think I went into it

expecting too much, though, because I had read all these raving reviews and then came out a bit

disappointed.

I shall rent it again on Pay-Per-View, though. Perhaps it will grow on me after a few

viewings.

I went to see it last

week at the $1.50 theatre, and was pleasantly surprised. I admit I was a huge skeptic, and didn’t expect it to

be anything special. But it was surprisingly well-done, highly entertaining, and generally a lot of fun to

watch. A few things were a bit over the top and strange, but overall I found it to be a film worth

watching.

Plus, in the credits, when they had the three characters standing there, untextured, and then

the big flash went off and they all came back with the wrong textures, I think that

about made my day. As did the “Recursion” brand measuring tape.

Besides, having tried to make

a couple of furry characters myself (and bringing the CS lab machines to a grinding halt in the process), I have

a great appreciation for people who do not fear the fur.
