Due to the fact that I am often a brainless dork when it comes to HTML, I
often need help in areas such as this.
How do you post the names to links without having to type
out/copy the entire link? For example, instead of typing out the entire link to this particular page, which is
thisâŠ
pixarplanet.com/forums/viewt ⊠=8579#8579
âŠhow would one paste a link
to that same page, only in a shorter context? (Ie., posting the same link, only substituting the entire address
with a simple sentence, such as Pixar Link or something of the sort.)
Any
help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Perhaps I can be of some
assistance to you.
If you wanted to post a link to Pixar Planet (for example) but have the link itself
say Pixar Planet, type it like this without the blanks at the beginning or
end:
[ url=http://www.pixarplanet.com/]Pixar Planet
It should look like this if done
properly:
Pixar Planet
I had to edit this post because it
didnât work the first time. I figured out what the problem was. Make sure you donât put quotation marks
around the web address.

PixarVixen - Thank you
so much, Maâam. Now I can die in peace. (sniggers)
By the way, I love
your new avatar and signature, PV.
Thanks, guys! I think Dash is
trying to look like Boo.
And I can tell from your sig, Mitch, that Iâve helped.

PixarVixen - Youâre welcome! And yeah, it does look like Dash is trying to
look like Boo, doesnât it?
Oh yes, you have helped out alot, Ms. Vixen. I am quite enjoying this
ânew techniqueâ.
luxo - Haha â âsheâ. Iâm a
âsheâ.
Heh â but thatâs perfectly alright. Most people think Iâm a guy, and I never seem
to mind it, either. Iâm a 100%, certified tomboy, so I almost consider it a type of compliment.
I tried using this method for my music videos. NOw, you know what you are going to watch
instead of just a wierd looking link.

The Star
Swordsman - Yes, indeed. The style is much more effective and âsmoothâ to look at than
the âweird looking linkâ form, as you called it.

Oh right, I seen Mitch and just assumed.

luxo: Oh, itâs perfectly all right. Thereâs a very long
explanation as to why I chose that name for my username. You can find it in the âOff Topicâ section, I
believe â in the thread where users discuss how they thought up their usernames.
Actually, that thread is most likely in the archives
now.

PixarVixen: Really? Thatâs odd. I just check the "Off
Topic" section, and itâs still there.
I guess it shall be in the
archives soon because no one has been posting for a while.

The Star Swordsman: Yeah, youâre probably right. I find it incredible that we even
have archives at all.

Yeah, Iâm glad
stuff getâs deleted quite fast here once not discussed, it means things are at least staying nice and tidy, and
you can alyways read in the archive and start it again if necessary.
Just out of curiousity, if something has been moved to the
Archives, can you restart another one if ya know what I mean?

Yeah thatâs what I said if it didnât sound like that LOL.
Not entirely luxo, but i want to start a topic that has
just been deleted, but I donât want to get in trouble by the mods.
