The Story
Well, he’s certainly earned
it, what with fifty films in fourty years. It’s sad to see him go, but he’ll always be remembered as a film
giant. I wish him every success with his endeavors.
On another note, this raises my opposition to any Cars
sequel. No Paul Newman → No Doc Hudson, and you couldn’t have Cars 2 without Doc Hudson. Their only hope
would be to get someone who sounded alarmingly like him, like Greg Baldwin replacing Mako as Iroh on Avatar after
his unfortunate death.

I agree – he has definitely
earned it, and I congratulate him for putting his whole into the films he’s contributed his incredible talent
to.
Here’s to a well-earned retirement. clinks glasses
What ?! What ?!
Paul , what are you doing , no !!

Why , Paul , why ? You can just sit during voice-overs ! Or
something , please ? I wanna a sequel ! To be more specific , my fanfiction as a sequel ! Noooo !
Please
, mr.newman sir , I’ve always wanted to act by your side …
Angie : smacks glp oh get it through your
thick skull , it’s all over ! He’s 82 for pete’s sake ! Although he doesn’t look a day over 60 …
fine , any good Newman impersonators out there ??
or maybe he’ll be through to his pixar
character … maybe he’ll quit for a few years and then come back ! Aw , who am i kidding , i bet he’s already
bought his florida beach house … have fun Paul …
I DONT
WANT HIM TO RETIRE!!! TELL HIM NOT TO!!! HES MAKING A BAD CHOICE!!!
awwwwwww im gonna miss him

Well, Paul Newman was one of my
favorite actors in Cars. I think he ranked either 2 or 4. I hope that he has a good life now. I’ll miss
him.

I really wish some reporter would ask him if he’s come
out of retirement for a Cars sequel. I say this because first it’s the only film
he’s done recently enough and with such an ecential part that his character would be required for a sequel - and
second because he would hardly have to come out of retirement to do it since it’s just voice work. Not that
voice work isn’t a challenge but it’s not nearly as fatiguing as actual shooting on a set.
Yeah, he can come out of retirement if he wanted
to…We’ll all just have to storm over to his house as a big, unruly mob and plead with him.
But, this might be a little off topic, if there was really going to be a Cars 2, would you
really need Doc in there as a main character?
Uh … yeah ! Sorry , your
question kind of shocked me there .
Doc mostly showed Lightning how self-absorbed he was . And don’t
forget , when it came to advertising , he was one of the top four cars ( Lightning , Mater , Sally , and Doc were
mostly used ) .
Although we know he was a racecar , we still don’t know much about his past too . So a
small sub-plot of the sequel would probably be about his past and trying to figure out more about it .
And
besides , everyone loves hudson hornets !
lol
Well, just like Paul
Newman’s retirement, maybe they can imply that Doc retired from life and was moving on to do other things.
I also think there couldnt be a Cars sequel without Doc being there. Doc was
too big of a character to not have him. It wouldnt be the same for me, anyway. I dont think they’d imply that
Doc retired because Doc had just come back to racing so I dont think he’d quit that again so soon. (unless a
supposed sequel would take place ages after the original)
