I read in a interview with Pete that he is working on a “Top-secret” project. Does anyone know anything about this (I know that’s kinda a stupid question considering it’s “top-secret”, but I figured that one of you guys might have some info on this)?
In the interview, he also said that it is NOT Monsters Inc. 2.
I remember reading that sometime earlier this year. I don’t think anymore about it’s been said…
All I know is that it’s supposed to come out in 2013 or 2014. Nothing else has been rumored or said.
All I know about it is that it’s a new original story. I can’t wait to learn more, we might learn it’s name in a year or two.
I know nothing except for what has been said in this thread, but YAY! Sounds fantastic already.
Haha yes! Just the mention of Pete Docter gives an image of quality.
I’m glad he’s making another movie, but I know nothing else.
i wonder if this is a live action project. as ive heard, Pixar is starting to segue into Live Action, which bugs me.
They’re not, just the directors. Although apparently Pixar is supposed to fund 1906, providing that it even gets produced. Although apparently they might be opening a 2D animation studio.
Best rumor ever!
I wish there was more info on 1906. It seems like it’s in a hard place, but what do I know?
Rumors are that it’s been shelved, and I hope not! I’d love to see that movie. I know a lot about that disaster, I love San Francisco, and I love the Victorian Age. I even had ancestors in SF during the quake. It’s like that movie was made for me!
I hope they make 1906. There are other movies I would rather see, but that one sounded really cool.
Bryko: Are they really going to start making traditionally animated movies? It’s like Disney and PIXAR are switching places…
I wouldn’t be suprised. They have been doing a lot of 2D animation, (in the credits, and shorts like Day & Night and Your Friend the Rat). And Pixar was virtualy founded on the principle that it’s not the technique that makes the movie, it’s the story.
I still kind of wish they would stick with CG, and Disney with 2D, though. It just bugs me a little bit.
