It says that it’s Toy Story 3, so I’m wondering if that’s the same standard Rex Thinkway had before only with new packaging like they did with Slinky Dog. Maybe it’ll be easier for me to find him now.

For Wave 3 I also second Zurg and Pete
I want them to release Pete, double boxed, or with a self sticking TOY STORY label that the consumer can take off if they please. His box plays a too huge of a role in the second movie to release one cluttered with all kinds of Logos.

In addition to the obvious choices like Zurg and Prospector, I have to say that I really would like to see Robot. He’s not an especially significant character, but he’s so cool looking that I think he’d make a great toy. I doubt we’ll see him, though…
I agree. There could be some spiffy interaction features, and in addition, he could appeal to a broader audience because he’s an educational robot.
And maybe this thread should be locked because it’s basically confirmed that Wave 3 is coming.

I agree we need a wave 3 and the charcters should be:

Zurg ( to go with Buzz and Gravity belt Buzz)

Slinky ( have it where he has a see thru string that connects his two halfs like the toy of him already and when the string pull it activates a tail wag and his quotes) AND WE NEED THE ORIGINAL ACTORS QUOTES FROM T1 AND T2 as a tribute since he passed away in 2000

Ham ( be still or electronic) Electronic should have a head move and talk and activated by real money / a button

The way I see it, for Wave 3, they have to make up the final major characters from the first two movies (Prospector, Zurg, Slinky and Hamm), and the new toys they promoted for Toy Story 3. If they were to go into a Wave 4, it would probably experiment by making some of the minor characters, which I hope would work.
I think Wave 3 should include at least six of these characters

-Rocky Gibraltar
-Trixie (they could make the packaging similar to Rex, since I think they are from the same line)

The ones I want the most are Slinky, Hamm, Zurg, and the Prospector!!
I don’t think there is a need for Ken, Barbie, Twitch, Sparks, or Chunk because in-scale figures of them have already been made and are satisfactory.
I think that if they made Hamm they could make him talk every time you insert money and take out his cork

There doesn’t need to me a Barrel on Monkeys, it already exists. Hamm already has a good enough toy.
What should be in wave 3:
1: Slinky. Give him a leash that isn’t attached to his forhead, and give his legs articulation. Also make him out of a sturdier plastic
2: Mrs. Potato Head. Though as for accuracy it might be difficult since in TS3 she mentioned [spoil]that she comes with over 30 parts (or was it 60, can’t remember)[/spoil], but then again [spoil]she might have meant sold separatly[/spoil].
3: Snake and Robot. Robot is an educational toy which would be great for kids and appeared the most as a background toy. They were always seen with Slinky, Rex, Hamm, and Potato Head. Snake can be some sort of cheaper thing like the soldiers.
Robot was not educational. It was a robot.
The numbers and alphabet on robot’s tracks would suggest he has some educational value. He is never featured in the film long enough to tell for sure. We know he can speak, so maybe he recites words or phrases.
Ah! I forgot about that.
i think for wave 3 should just be for main characters like hamm and slinky and not just characters that only appear in one scene like wheezy.
