Pets

I have a cat, Chilli. Very antisocial, but adorable. She’s a tortie/bengal, hence

her strange behaviour.

I have 1 Dog (his name is Luke) he is 13 human years old ,and 1

Cat (his name is Whitie) he is 15 or 16 human years old

All of your pets are adorable – I wish I had dogs or cats like you guys.

Well, here is my total

count:

9 - rats!!! Yep…nine rats. I had them as pets when I was younger,

and they brought me joy and love and…oh…everything else!

8 -

squirrels. They were wild, but very friendly. In order of appearance, they’re names

were: Peanut/Chunky, Stumpy, Jonathan, Mama Risu, Jonathan Jr. (J.J.), Pitter, Patter, Mama, Jonathan Jr. Jr.

(J.J.J. – :stuck_out_tongue: ), and Mitch. As of today, Mitch and his brother (whom I haven’t named yet) still come to our

yard for treats at times, although I hardly ever see them.

7 - baby possums.

(Long story. A possum [Amus] wandered into our yard one day, he mated, and the result was seven little offspring

of our beloved – and “wild” – opposum, Angie.)

6 - more baby

possums. (One of Angie’s little daughters – whom we christened “Violet” – returned to our yard and

had six rascals.)

5 - scrubjays. Also wild, but exceptionally friendly; the

first generation would land on my hand, the second would take treats from me, and the third generation is

slightly less friendly than the other two. They all have the same name: Scruby.

4 - skipper butterflies. I called them “Skipper and the Gang”, and

they would come to feast on our lavendar bushes every single day. Skipper, the

leader of the “pack”, used to land on my hand and lick my fingers.

3 - “bands” of mice. I think there were about twelve in all, and

they all enjoyed eating our cupboard food, messing up the house, and leaving us little “presents” in

the kitchen drawers. Thank goodness they finally left (after about four weeks…). :unamused:

2 - neighborhood cats. Actually, we have about five neighborhood cats in

all, but the two friendliest are Bonnie and Clyde, our next-door neighbor’s cats. Bonnie roams our yard

constantly, while Clyde spends 99% of his time over at our place, wandering over to his house only to dine on

meals. So far, I’ve taught Clyde – a cat, mind you – to sit, stand up, jump on a

chair, spin in a circle, and come on command. I think he’s part dog… :stuck_out_tongue:

1 - moth. He used to come over every night, before he passed away in the

year of 2000 (at least…I think it was 2000…). We called him “Tickles”, because he was so soft to

the touch.

Welp, that’s it! Kind of a looong list, but there you have

it! I wish I had as many pets as some of you guys do, though.

Someone’s an animal-lover! That’s a pretty incredible

list you’ve got there, Mitch. I love my dogs to death, but there’s a kind of mystique, I guess you could say,

to animals that find you as opposed to ones you buy as pets. There’s a cat at my grandmother’s farm that

wandered onto my grandparents’ farm a few years ago and just never left. Had two or three litters of kittens

before they decided that she was there to stay and so they may as well take it upon themselves to go get her

spayed. I don’t even know if they do actually “own” her or not, but for all intents and purposes they

do, and she’s a wonderful cat. (She’s the best part of going to my grandparents’ farm, quite frankly.

:unamused:)

Well, that post kind of ended up being more about me than about what you’d said… Darn ego.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Haha – yeah, I kinda “over-listed” didn’t I?

Heheh, I like your

kitty story! It’s kind of similar to an event that took place at my aunt’s house: A cat (whom was later

christened “PC”) wandered into my aunt’s backyard…and he never left.

And as for your last

comment: Who says you can’t brag a little bit?

I haaavee…

3 dogs, 3 hamsters, 1

fish, and 1 kitten.

Tank (5 yr old German Shepherd. He is my baby. I love him to

death)

Anthony (2 yr old

3-legged mutt. He was hit by a car, so he’s not too

bright…)

Meesha (Border

Collie puppy. I’m not sure how old she is. I think she’s close to a

year.)

not Panda)

My fish is some sort

of pink fish named Strawberry.

My kitten? Weell, she lives with my dad and stepmum and their family, along

with Meesha and Ginger. They found the kitten out in the dumpster, so they took her in. I’m not quite sure of

her name. First it was Isobelle, then Marmalade. I dunno what it is now lol.

Oooh yeah! And I don’t own

them, but I ride these three nerds. I love them to death, so they’re kind of

mine?

3 fish! 1 Mollie and 2 Neons. I wasnt sure if I wanted fish cuz i was all "Fish arent meant to be in a box,

it does things to them!" but then I kinda inherited my grandfather’s fish, so there you are. And i dont

mind having them. I hope they’re happy there anyway.
