Pets

Well, I have said in my first post in this section. I have a malteese.

Yeah… I was sad to see them go. But

I’m grateful for the time I did get to spend with them.

“A cat that is loved is a happy cat-”

You got that right! And we sure do spoil our little Sweetheart.

Marley & Me is the best book

I’ve read in a long time. The author is so witty! The book made me laugh a lot - but it’s sad too, and even

made me cry at times. You should read it, it’s great!

You’ve always wanted one what? Monarch

caterpillars? They’re… just like any other caterpillars, I guess. I like them because they’re striped. :sunglasses:

They do require lots of food. They like milkweed - which wasn’t hard to find here

in the country. I thought they were easy to care for; of course, I obviously didn’t do such a terrific job…

:unamused:

Do you give your pets nicknames? If you do, what are

they?

My pets’ nickname is Pookie. :unamused:

The Star Swordsman - A

malteese, eh? Cute – those little guys are adorable.

And nick-names? Umm…well, I only had one

nick-name for my last rat. Truth be told, my last rat had three names:

- Obi-Wan

Kenobi

 • Indiana Jones
 • Ben

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s “nick-name” is Ben, and Ben

is also the name of one of the rats in the film Willard. As for Indiana Jones,

well…I just liked the name, so I called him that every once in a while. But, in reality, Ben’s real name (or

“nick-name”) was…Ben. Kind of confusing, but there you have it.

BandGeek727 - Haha – I’m sure you do spoil your cats. I do the same thing

with my neighbor’s cat, even though he’s not mine. (snigger)

Yep – one of these days I’ll read

Marley and Me, since it sounds so good. It looks really cute, and I love animals of

all kinds, so when I get the money…I’ll definitely buy the book.

And, to tell you the truth, I forgot

what I said I had always wanted! Me and my memory. :stuck_out_tongue: Well, it if was the

catepillars: cool. Milkweed, eh? Just the name sounds good.

My maltese’s name is Bentley, but it’s nicknames

include:

Baby
Bent
Boo
Squee
Tsugumi
Squishy
Shnoogie
Sugar
Kush-Kush
Sweetie

Chilli may be referred to as-
Ickle Chilli Willi Kins
Chillikins
Mow Baby

You guys have alot of cute names for

your pets; yours, especially, made me giggle, lizardgirl.

I never

really did like giving my pets any “cutesy-wootsie” names, so I don’t have any to name, unfortunately.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I think I have too many for my pet.

The Star Swordsman -

Ahh…who cares? The more the merrier. Besides, I think they’re kinda cute, especially the “Boo” and

“Tsugumi” ones.

I come up with one for my pet almost every week.

Yeah, milkweed. I thought the name was funny too.

My cat’s name is Sweetheart,

but we call her Sweetie most of the time.
My dog Maggie, on the other hand, has been called just about every

word you could think of that starts with “mag-”, from Magpie to Magazine rack. :sunglasses:

BandGeek727 - I know – the

name is…delicious. (snigger)

Haha – “magazine rack”! That made me laugh.

Looking back, I seem to recall that I used to call my first rat, Rachel, “the soldier” or

“little trooper”. It wasn’t really a nick-name – more like a secondary title. I called her that

because she was, indeed, a trooper throughout her life. She never complained about shots or surgery or anything,

except for the time she lost half of her tail. That was traumatic… :unamused:

magazine rack?

Intresting name for a pet.

Ahh…here he is! My good ol’

Ben…

He

smelled like apple cider but was as sweet as honey. People called him a “cool” rat, since his fur

pattern was so unusually…cool. Ben’s full name was Obi-Wan Kenobi, but we hardly ever called him that…except

when we watched one of the Star Wars films.

Ironically, this picture was

taken only a day or two before sweet little Ben died of old age. He had a really good life, though, and we loved

him like heck.

Aww, he is so cute. Riding

the skateboard makes him look even cuter.

Well by the picture he sure looks cool !

Sweet picture, Mitch. He looked very happy on that

skateboard of his.

Heheh – I’m glad you all like the little rascal! My mom took the picture, actually. I really wish we could

have gotten more photos of our “babies”, but we were too lazy to do it; of course, we regret that now.

If I find the pictures of some of our other rats, I’ll post them up.

i want a rat but my mom hates rats

she’s like a dog person but i am too. so yeah.
