Phillip Bradley?

I am aware that Wikipedia isn’t the best source to trust for these things, but as I was looking up Brad Bird on www.wikipedia.com, his name was listed as “Phillip Bradley Bird.” Does anyone know if this his real name?

Wikipedia isn’t? What is the best source? Honestly, I think wikipedia is the best, unless you want to dig up the guy’s birth certificate.

Well, the problem with Wikipedia is that anyone can make an account and edit in information to any article on the site, whether or not they have the credentials.

I know. That makes it more reliable, not less. It’s been proven that wikipedia is just as reliable as britannica, besides the fact that everyone who writes britannica is officially qualified to do so. That study claims britannica is slightly more reliable than wikipedia, but I’ve seen other studies claiming wikipedia is slightly more reliable. It probably depends on the type of article.

I understand that there are more solid sources for many things than wikipedia. But this is a guy’s name we’re talking about. Are we going to find something on the internet that’s a more reliable source of information about Brad Bird?

By the way, I’m not trying to sound confrontational. I’m just a fan of wikipedia.

Sheila or Ashley: IMDb shows that it is his real name, so I believe that it is.
Glyph: It doesn’t matter, because according to the study, Wikipedia is worse. :bulb: Now you’ve taught me something more about Wikipedia that is proof that Wikipedia is not the best, and will eventually lead me to lead a revolution to destory that wretched site! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!

DEATH TO WIKIPEDIA!!!
NO MORE LIES! NO…sorry, B-on-T. Heheh.

Wow, what is it with Wikipedia? I mean, I know that anyone can edit it, but doesn’t that mean that people with knowledge that ‘professionals’ might not know can be added instead of ignored?

Hmm, Phillip…He does suit Brad so much more. It’s more in-your-face and it’s easier to shout out.

His name is Phillip Bradley Bird. I prefer Brad Bird. It just sounds cool, and a name that you remember.

Well, that is essentially both the upside and downside of Wikipedia… depends which way you look at it.

I’ve known about that for a while, don’t know why he prefers Brad, Phil’s a cool name, but I guess Phil Bird doesn’t sound as nice as Brad Bird. But, one thing that I think where he could use it, is I’ve always wanted to see Mr. Bird write and direct a new version of one of those old 1930’s style detective films, in the same style as Dick Tracy and such, where he could use the name P.B. Bird, which would sound cool.

I’ve read Brad Bird’s wikipedia page several times. I do believe that “Phillip Bradley Bird” is his real name. “Brad Bird” is just a lot “catchier”.
