Phineas and Ferb: Across The 2nd Dimension

Next Summer, Disney Channel will be releasing a Phineas and Ferb movie called “Phineas and Ferb: Across The 2nd Dimension”, where Phineas and Ferb find out that Perry is a secret agent (FINALLY!), and they travel to an alternate universe where they must help Perry defeat a eviler version of Dr. Doofensmirtz.

So, what are your thoughts on this? As you can probably tell, I’m really excited.

I want to see it. <3 P&F is the only current DC show I will tolerate.

How can I say this…I’ve been excited to see this since one of the creators gave the slightest hint about the movie in January, because I love the show. The movie’s full name is Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension in Fabulous 2D, and I think the logo is pretty clever, you know, 2(nd)D(imension).
Here is something that show us what the main characters might look like: dbgcatalog.com/Disney/1671_1 … 373035.htm.

Woah! I love their outfits, especially Ferb’s.

They look so awesome!! <3

A preview will be shown tonight on Disney Channel as part of Shake It Up New Years.
Also:

Woah, they actually made Doofenschmirtz look kind of threatening. :open_mouth: I’m impressed. I really want to see it. <3

Yeah. DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING SPOILERS IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED! The preview showed [spoil]a animatic of what looked like Phineas dangling from a chain over a volcano.[/spoil] Oh, and the [spoil]robotic dog from the theme song will make an appearance.[/spoil]
Also:

If you go on www.Disney.com you can see te preview spot. Looks really good.

Okay, I REALLY want to see this now.

I’m also excited about the movie. Phineas and Ferb of the best things on DC (at the moment). But did you know they’re also getting a THEATRICAL live action/animation movie?

I love Phineas and Ferb but I do not like the idea of a more evil Dr. Doofenschmirtz. Plus, this film deals with the SECOND dimension, which is ridiculous…since we live in a tri-dimensional world.

Further, my guess is that this movie won’t be canon. You know how the Pokemon movies didn’t actually happen if you watch the anime? That’s what I think will occur with this film, in regards to Phineas and Ferb.

I do not really care much for non-canonical movies to TV shows. However, I heard there might be a Phineas and Ferb movie in theaters later on down the road. Not this movie, thank goodness…but another one with a more Phineas and Ferb feel to it. THAT I would pay to see.

It is live action/animation though. Lol How do you think that would work?
As for the canon thing, when one of the last times they had an animated DCOM with the Kim Possible movie it was considered part of the series and tried to be the finale of it with things like the undestroyable battle suit, which they had to work around in the following episodes. It might be more comparable than the Pokemon movies.
Also, can you believe they’re getting MOVIES, along with merchandise, a in break spin off, etc. Just when they’re going to end the second season? P&F may be more popular than we think.

I can’t wait for this!

The release date has been changed for August 5th, and Disney Channel has only been showing 5 second promos for it. I’M IN SUSPENSE!

What I want to know is if this film will be ignored in the series, or if Phineas and Ferb will forget that the stuff in this film happened, or if they and their friends will help Perry on his missions in the show on episodes ensuing this film’s release.

August 5th means it could be in top condition by then. Yay.

Still upset that Doofenschmirtz is no longer a Goofenschmirtz, or a doofus. I liked him because he was a lot like Team Rocket from Pokemon…

It would be interesting if in the other dimension, Vanessa is evil too, and Ferb tries to go to her, but Phineas stops him, saying, “No, Ferb! That’s not the Vanessa you know!”

I actually have reasons to believe that the movie takes place after everything in the series. Like an epilogue for a series finale I’m hoping we won’t see for a long time.
