Pictures and Pixie Dust

Aww maybe next holiday MItch. But going today maybe could’ve been a good idea. It is a holiday and you get one day off! Sped it by having fun!!!

Cha, but do you know how many people would be there? I’m guessing millions; billions; maybe trillions… We’d never get into the park let alone ride anything. Eheh. :stuck_out_tongue: (snigger)

The best days to go to the park are on rainy days (in which the park is virtually deserted) and on “Employees Only” days (in which the park is spacious enough that everyone gets to ride everything at least twice).

We may go next weekend or on an “Employees Only” day, but we’re not certain. We’ll just have to wait and see how it goes!

A great time to go would be on a school day! :open_mouth: Yep, the park would be completely almost empty! Lines are short, best seats each time, and all of the other good stuff! :open_mouth:

Mitch- A little OT, but what’s Labor Day?

And it’s so cool that you can just sort of pop in whenever you want. A lot of people would do anything for that kind of access!

The Star Swordsman - Indeed! Too bad dad works at Disney Studios every weekday. Eheh.

lizardgirl - Labor Day is a holidy that is celebrated in the United States. Unless I am much mistaken, it represents and acknowledges all of the hard work and effort us Americans have contributed to our country, and so most people take the day off. You can read more about it here:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labor_day

Eh – I was mostly correct. Go take a look. Heheh.

– Mitch

lizardgirl: Labor Day is (from the dictionary) a day set aside for special recognition of working people.

You get a day off on that day here in the US. Great time to visit Disneyland too!

(Back on topic now) :stuck_out_tongue:

Mitch and TSS- Aha! Thanks. I’ll have a nosy at that Wiki article, too. And yes, back on topic…

I saw on my calendar that it was Labor Day, and I wondered if you guys would have the day off or what… :sunglasses: Yes, the best time to go to theme parks would be on a school day, but even then you still have the tourists…

True, but not a lot of them though.

lizardgirl - You’re welcome!

rachel - Cha, those are some of the best days to attend the park, but even then…it will still be crowded (unless it’s raining). Also, on school days, the park is (usually) only open till 8:00 PM or 10:00 PM.

– Mitch

But if you go to DIsneyland if it is raining, it is better! I have done that before, and it was a blast for me! For some reason, the Jungle Cruise ride seemed really more realistic.

I had the chance to visit Disneyland again with my dad and sister only yesterday, and I finally managed to secure a spot on the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage attraction! It was quite enjoyable, actually. I loved it!

I only obtained three pictures, all of which you can view below:

Haunted Mansion - Pet Cemetary:

Haunted Mansion - Front View:

Tom Sawyer’s Island and Ferry:

As you might be able to see, the entire Haunted Mansion – both the interior and the exterior – were decorated to resemble a “Nightmare Before Christmas” theme. My sister was in heaven… :stuck_out_tongue:

My apologies in that the quality is not top-notch and that the photographs above were the only ones I captured. Oh well. Enjoy them anyway!

Ooooh, you’re so lucky! I wish I could go again. I might actually go for my birthday in November.

Nice pictures, too!
sheila

Sweetpictures there Mitch! Thanks for posting them!

My sister and I have already made plans that sometime in the future, we’ll take a road trip - just the two of us - and go down to Disneyland. My sisters went three summers ago with our parents (to make up for the fact that I got to go to Washington, DC), but I haven’t been to Disneyland since my senior trip almost 6 years ago, and I still haven’t seen California Adventure.

Colette Linguini - Haha. Well, I hope you get to go! It really is a wonderful way to spend your vacation…

Thank you, by the way!

The Star Swordsman - You are most welcome. And thank you!

KE - Well, good for you! You deserve a vacation. I wish you a fun time when you and your sister do find time to travel to Disneyland. Are you going to stay overnight and visit both parks?

– Mitch

I don’t know. The timeline for this trip seems to be “when I have summer vacation from classes” so it could be as late as after I start teaching and get the summer off… actually, considering how much it is to get in, I should probably wait until I get a teacher’s salary in order to do all the things I want to do while I’m down there… which could actually be in as little as two or three years, Lord willing.

Your making me want to go there again!

I feel the same way GD. In fact, I think I might be going there sooner than I think.
