My favorite part of Pirates 3:
a) when there are like 2 million Jacks running around. I couldn’t stop laughing, even though the concept behind it was a little vague.
b) When the ship (can’t remember— was it the Pearl?) was going off the edge of the earth, and everyone was freaking out, but Barbossa was laughing manically. That cracked me up too.

I agree. I expected something different… also, I read somewhere that she’s speaking in French, but you could still hardly tell what she was saying. I’ll have to find where I read that again, and I’ll send you the quote if I come across it.
I think they definitely could have handled the Calypso bit better. The powers of a goddess opened up the character to a lot of possibilities and they could have done a lot of different things with it, I’m not so sure that particular one was the right choice, alas. I think that you weren’t meant to understand what she was saying, though. I assumed it was some kind of curse or spell she used to transform herself into different things. It doesn’t have to be understandable – it just has to sound impressive!
