Ta-Da! They’re telling the world about themselves, preparing to hire animation crew, and… apparently they need an Ex Navy Seal. (Maybe they’re gonna do Navy!Mater? xD)
But more exciting to me is that Toy Story and Cars are not the only franchises on the website like I was expecting. Even just the front page cycle also has quite a few properties. I, for one, am totally stocked about WALL-E being up there (big surprise.) I know it’s not a promise, but just that there’s a chance makes me really happy. <3
So, what are you excited to possibly see? thoughts?
Oh my god! I so can’t wait for the Pixar Canada studio to open up and begin working on some of those shorts! I can’t believe that there actually doing more shorts about other Pixar films too (my favorite ones are the Incredibles and Wall-E ). I would’ve liked to work on the storyboard crew… I’m also wondering why there trying to hire an ex-Navy Seal for? All well! I guess time will tell! Anyways, thanks, for showing this to me, Netbug! It looks like this might become a good website (it just needs a bit of work first)!
A Bug’s Life was another of the films they listed on the site, which I’m assuming is for all the films they say they’re planning to make shorts of. At last, more recognition!
I’m kind of interested in seeing how Pixar’s Canada projects work out, cause with the Cars Toons shorts now I think going through all their films will give it a nice balancing act.
Wow, thank you so much for posting this! Every little thing that makes this more real is so much more exciting to me! I live in Metro Vancouver, so it’s awesome to have Pixar come here instead of me going to them - not that I assume I’ll work there, but I’m hoping they hold events like they do in Emeryville!
I love that they made this site on iWeb
I think the Navy Seal thing is a joke. Not just because we don’t have them in Canada, but because it was thrown in there like an example of a random job title.
I just hope the studio lasts, they’ve had a difficult time with things like this in the past; my main concern is people getting drained by having to use all the characters that the American team came up with, without being able to make any original situations themselves.
