What a neat, comprehensive site! ![]()
My favorite would have to be Pixar’s first version of their home page:
It looks so old-school. Hahah.
Thanks for the link, martini! ![]()
I love how they had to tell people to feel free to surf through their site as if people might be affraid they weren’t suppose to back then when the net was so new. =P
I’ve seen that Internet Wayback machine before, but had never thought about using it on the Pixar website…
It seems like they were very encouraging back then in regards to people contacting them, and they were very open about people applying for positions. It even had a list of recommended schools. The quality of the pictures on the front page were probably very high quality for the Internet, back then. lol
Apparently on the Toy Story page, in 1997, they had a embedded Quicktime video of the trailer. Now that’s forward-thinking!
That is so cool! Thanks for the link!
That’s cool!
Thanks for the link!
Thats cool! ![]()
And dash I have Tryed that site with Pixar Planet.com. It seems that you or someone that coded the site put in a Robot.txt code that blocks the bots that archive sites. Which is blocking Pixar Planet from being achived.
Darn right, no one sees my old designs! ![]()
Haha!

How interesting! I didn’t even know that this existed until now. Thank you for this cool tidbit, martini833!
Mell (PhD, MB, BBQ) - Aww. I liked your old designs, dude! They were cool. ![]()

I wouldn’t mind seeing the old forum designs, myself.
rachel - Heh. I should have “Print Screened” or taken a photograph of them before they went off-line. Perhaps Mell still has them on file?

I really hope so. I can’t even remember what the old design looked like.
