Is any member of Pixar Planet a Pixar Employee?
I know for sure we do have people who work at Pixar who do visit and browse Pixar Planet. I think we have a very few members that are employees. I can’t name one off of the top of my head though.
thats neat.
There’s at least one that I know of who came here to advertise an opening position at Pixar a year ago - this kind of practice isn’t common, but it was cool, nonetheless. There may be Pixarians that have accounts here, but they don’t draw attention to that fact. Because of the confidentiality agreement they wouldn’t want to lose their jobs over giving away inside info over the net, so they keep things on the down-low.
I’m told that there are a lot of anonymous people (non-members) who view this site from Emeryville, though. Andrew Stanton has been confirmed as a regular reader of Upcoming Pixar.
Pretty awesome.
Neat ! Let’s make them proud then !
As others have stated, citizens of Emeryville (and Pixar Animation Studios employees) do browse the site occasionally. You never know who those anonymous “guests” are who visit Pixar Planet…
I always like to think that such notable employers as John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, or even Brad Bird scan our posts from time to time… and maybe even have a good laugh at them. (snigger)
I do know for a fact that one member here works for the studio, although I shall refrain from disclosing that individual’s username.
He is? Dang-gum…

No surprise. This is, undoubtedly, the biggest Pixar forum online. With Pixar being a very technological company full of geeks and nerds. there’s got to be a few who want to keep tabs on what fans think of their work.
Wow…we’re in the shadows no longer.
I wonder if a Pixarian is reading this, and what they are thinking from that comment…
Someday I hope if this fandom is still up, and someone makes this forum again, Dash or PV can say “It is a fact that Rachel [insert my last name here] was a member of this forum when she was a kid!” Sigh, that would be great.
if I found out there was an online forum about where I work with over one thousand users, I’d check it out.
How cool!
I could understand if there are members here who stay anonymous - can you imagine if you worked for Pixar, joined this forum and let people know you work for Pixar? I mean, if you can’t speak about anything to do with your job really … why come out and say you work there?
Good point. Nevertheless, it would still be a pretty “spaztastic” moment if someone from the studio simply made a brief appearance. I know I’d be stoked if I read something like, “Hello there, everyone. This is Lou Romano. It’s nice to know that you guys are so supportive. Peace out!” goes into spaz mode

It sure would! And that’s really cool how Stanton is a reader of Upcoming Pixar! I hadn’t a clue!
