amp;Logo=0&col=dlt&sort=rv&vw=b]Junior Macintosh Systems Administrator[/url] job at Pixar!
I
recently received a contact from Pixar and am posting this ad for a tech position at the studios. This is a
great opportunity and worth a look even if you’re just a computer-hobbiest (degree not required here). I know
we’re all Pixar fans so if you’re a Mac wiz as well then this could be your dream position!
Oh . . . it’s times like this when I wish I had USED a mac once or twice in my
life!!!
Hmm . . . . maybe not a techie spot . . . anything secretorial? I got mad-organizing
skills!!
Oh darn it: PIXAR shouldn’t be organized!! It should be free!!
I’m going to go scream
in my pillow now . . . .
I feel teased. I’m terrible with computers yet I’d do
anything to work at Pixar, darn it.
Dash, thanks for your support!
Much appreciated!!!
If anyone submits a resume, please follow up with a PM to me. Resumes go to
recruiting and are filtered before they make it to me. So if you PM me, I can make sure I get it.
Oh, and
in case it’s not obvious, the link to the job description is in Dash’s post above.
Thanks
everyone.

PS: Don’t steal my avatar!
Welcome to the forums, MacDaddy! I hope you enjoy your visits here.
Sweet
avatar. ^__~

Wait, MacDaddy, you’re from Pixar? splutters OMG!
Dude!
And yeah, that avatar is very cool.
Ever since I saw Toy Story, it has been my dream to work
at Pixar. The problem is I am horrible at art and animation. I really (thinks of a word other than
“suck”) am not good with computers. I end up breaking or making the problem worse.
But I am
really good at acting. So I hope that I might help voice-act in a future production one day. I’ll go an extra
mile just to get or perfect the voice desired.

I hope they find someone great for this
position!
One of my goals is to make a score for a future Pixar film (I’m working on becoming a film
composer). While there most likely won’t ever be an official opening for that particular field, I’m going to do
my very best to reach that goal.

If only I was
older. I’m great with computers…
Oh
wow. If only I knew anything about Macs. I’d love to work at Pixar more than almost anything…

Oh
man, it takes a special kind of person to be a SysAdmin. Speaking of which, I need to go and poke ours to see if
he fixed the link to Maya.
Eh. I’m not in the market for a job for another… eight months. *watches
the impending graduation clock of d00m tick down*
Hi Dash. I finally filled this
position. My new guy starts next Monday. Yay!
Thanks again for posting this. I really appreciate
it.
FWIW, there’s a good possibility that I might have a temp position opening soon. If it works out,
I’ll be looking for a junior Mac person to help support the studio for about six months – probably from
December through May. Since the job is temporary, the ideal candidate would be local (Bay area). There would be a
remote possibility that the position could convert to permanent.
If anyone’s interested, please PM me.
And if you doubt my authenticity, just ask Dash.
Dash, PixarVixen, Tonyloaf, KyrieEleison, VimFuego, and
Mell_O_Drama, I really enjoy this site. Keep up the good work!

Well done for finding someone to fit that job, though I’m sure your list of hopefuls
wasn’t exactly short.
That temp position sounds pretty ideal for a lot of people on the board here,
though…Wouldn’t surprise me if one of our very own local Pixar Planet members became an employee at
Pixar!
