I went back to the Pixar website to take another look at the current job openings.
It seems they’ve
already opened up 25 different jobs to start off the year.

I’ve been keeping track of these for a long time. They’re
not all that new.

I just saw these jobs posted up there a
few days ago. All of a sudden…Pixar needs ten thousand people at their studio. Perhaps they’re trying to make
this year a good one? Heh…
Oh, how I wish I could apply. But alas, I’m not even in college yet…

Thanks for the link, Heimlich. ![]()
Mitch - Your’e not alone. I want to work at Pixar when I finish college. But that
will have to wait, I’m in ninth grade (as of when I’m posting this) .
Bill - Cool – I’m in tenth grade. School takes forever
to finish – heheh.
I just realized that you don’t necessarily have to be a
college student in order to apply for a particular position at Pixar. Take, for example, this job opening:
[url=http://jobsearch.pixar.careers.monster.com/getjob.asp?JobID=51488977&AVSDM=2007-01-05+13%3A4

To quote the page, it
clearly states that one’s education level has to be “high school or equivalent”, and the relevant work
experience required is “1+ to 2 Years”. So, obviously, if you “know the math”, you can nab
the job, whether you are in college or not. The demand is still great, however, no matter which position you
apply for.
Well, if there was a job I would want, it would be a
voice actor.
Wow. if only I had some kinda skills for them. But I dont think I do. Not yet anyway.
If all goes according to plan maybe one day I can get in there. 10000 people? wow, that’s a lot.
The Star Swordsman - Oh yes
– I agree. It would be wonderful to be a voice actor for Pixar…or any other studio, for that matter. Just the
job itself sounds like a blast…
lennonluvr9 - Just stick to your plan and
don’t give up hope. Perhaps, one day, you’ll find yourself in a cubicle in Pixar… ![]()
I really wish I would play a main/minor/supporting role. But I would be joyous if I even said
one word.
theres an open internship on the open job list.(Technical Director Internship)
For internship seekers, only
some of them will notice this because its not listed on Internship Listings. lol.
Hey guys, one of us should
be Manager of Recruiting. That way, we can let the rest of us in no problem. heeheehee
or maybe ill
just be a Safety and Security Officer.
TSS, just so you know for the future, Pixar doesn’t
handle voice casting themselves. I’m quoting this directly from Pixar’s
website:
[from Pixar Job FAQs]
Q: How can I be considered for voice-over work?
A:
Our voice casting is done through Disney.
I’m sure they have
some say over who gets cast for voice roles, and it’s a given that they have the
power to allow certain Pixarians to provide voices for characters, but Disney is who
you would go to for auditions. ![]()

Yeah it’s kinda
funny actually - the Disney shield will in some ways make the company MORE private.
Well
everybody here wants to work there
it’s my dream.
But I am from Brazil and we don’t have any
animation school or anything here…dawn, well we have something like it but it’s not good and it’s
reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally expensive!
It will be difficult for me…but I will try ![]()
Yes, thats
the spirit! Follow your dream.
There are alot of loans and scholarships out there. You can pay them back after
you’re working at Pixar. ![]()
Welcome to PixarPlanet Mo.Onik
Yeah, and i tryed do get a scholarship, but you need to be american to get one
I am not.
But we need to keep swimming…
PixarVixen : I’ve known that for quite some time , which is why i would most want to
be a storyboard designer there . Besides , i would get to stay there longer .
Just a question , after you
get through disney with the auditions , then you get to work with the pixar crew , not the disney peoples , right
?
I think Disney justs assigns you a role. If one is lucky enough, you might work at Pixar.
