Pixar Planet Movie Night

Thanks, ffdude1906! It was nice having a chance to talk to you and everyone else too.

And I wish I could’ve stayed a bit longer- the conversations that occurred after the film sound very interesting…

I dunno if you guys aware of me or not, but I went offline with a blink of an eye.
My house went blackout. Period.

Glad you guys are having fun!

I wouldn’t be able to make it to this Saturday’s movie night, but I am looking forward to when we can watch some non-Pixar films together in the future.

Same here, I won’t be there, I’m already back to college. Sorry guys…

It really depends on the time for me, but if we stick with the same time then I won’t be able to make it as I’m working.

I won’t be able to make it this week – unless the time changes anyway.

We might revert to the one we had so that TSS could join in then, since we’re having a lot of schedule conflicts. I’ll have to go look at it later, as I have to go do something at the moment, but I’ll let you all know. We might have to delay this a week if we don’t get enough people! Hopefully not, don’t wanna break the streak! So close to 10, and all the Pixar films too! I’ll work it out!

I’ll have to see how things play out, but I’m sure I can make it to this weeks, no matter which time.

And, for when we start non-Pixar movies, I do have some Disney movies on my computer:

Beauty and the Beast
Mulan
Sleeping Beauty
Aladdin
Robin Hood
The Lion King
and The Little Mermaid

And I also found that I have The Iron Giant too

So… yeah

Edit: And you know, if we ever get tired of movies, I’m up for a Phineas and Ferb marathon via YouTube ;-o

Yeah, I suggest we address this pretty soon, we need to come up with some ideas for next week’s movie, considering this week rounds out the currently available Pixar collection. Rachel and DocKenobi were talking a bit about Spielberg films, and I don’t mind, but I think it’s in the best interest to make sure there’s no chance of sketchy content, and get a consensus on what the guys here on the forums want to watch.

I think we should play it safe the first few times and maybe go for Disney movies, but it’s up to you all. thewisecookiesheet has a great list, I think we should first decide, Spielberg, or Disney. Once I get a clear preference from you guys, I’ll throw out a list of movies we could watch from that, and come up with a movie for that week.

Also, regarding this week’s time, how does 4 p.m. CST sound? That would be,…

SATURDAY
The Star Swordsman, Mitch, Mygames19: 2 p.m.
Myself, Hannahmation, thewisecookiesheet, DisneyDutchess: 4 p.m.
qxgnxamy, Bryko614, Lightning and Doc, Goggles, rac_rules, le_chocolat : 5 p.m.
Captain Pan, Wall-E, lizardgirl: 10 p.m.
Simon-Simon, totoro: 11 p.m.

SUNDAY
wannabechef91: 5 a.m.
rachelcakes1985: 6:30 a.m.
thedriveintheater, Phileas: 7 a.m.

This puts a lot of you in pretty tight spaces, especially Simon-Simon, totoro, Captain Pan, Wall-E, lizardgirl, rachel, TDIT, and Phileas. If this works better, I’ll go with it. Otherwise, I’ll have to stick to the current one on the first page, the 6 a.m. CST.

I vote Spielberg, though I wouldn’t mind doing some Disney films, just not right now. I don’t think we’d have to worry about sketchy stuff if we do early Spielberg. Most of those films, like Jaws, or rated PG, though they’re more like PG-13 by today’s standards.

Regardless of what time it is, I may skip this week anyway. But have fun without me!

I like the old time better, but I will try to attend anyway.
At least Toy Story isn’t particularly long, reducing the chances of me falling asleep…

I think we should maybe consider alternating between 6 a.m. CST. and 4 p.m. CST, to avoid some people always being stuck in a bad timeslot.

I don’t know about anyone else, but 4pm would work better for me. But if the original time works best for everyone else, don’t worry about it. I’ll just join the next one.

I like that suggestion.

I think I’ll pass up on this week, too. I can’t wait to see what we have in store for next week, though. As much as I love Pixar and all that, we have the commentaries for watching their films together, and I can’t wait to hear people’s opinions on other movies.

Films I’m really keen watching on again and that I will hedge are safe bets in this community:

Kung Fu Panda
Bolt
The Brave Little Toaster (I think this will hold a particular appeal if you know its history with Pixar…)
Pirates of the Carribean trilogy

I think most of the people here would own at least a copy from this list… Others I would like to watch but are not as ‘surefire’ with members here:

Casino Royale (2006)
Speed
Die Hard
The Bourne Supremacy

Again, as I suggested a few weeks ago, I think now may be a good time to try out the ‘voting system’ whereby each interested participant submits a list of movies he/she owns and would like to watch with the rest, and the one that is available to the most number of members wins.

I hope I have time to join you guys, though I’m probably going to be very busy within the next few weeks preparing for my final graduating project…

I still wouln’t be able to make it. Sorry.

I much prefer the early morning timeslot. Then, I’m able to stick around after the movie at least.

I’m up for Spielberg movies, that would be interesting to watch with this group.

If someone does have a digital copy that I could be sent that would be fantastic as our DVD player broke last week… ka-chow!

And if not, whoo~hoo! I get to sleep in!

And on rotating the timeslots, I’m good on that, except for that my schedule would get out of sync with it and I wouldn’t be able to attend many sessions (at my dad’s I’m on the computer all day, at mom’s eh, not so much) I do like the early mornings, it’s a nice way to wake up :stuck_out_tongue:

So what time will this weeks PPMN take place?

And what will that be here in Sweden?

I’m requiring a Time Please Ladies and Gents those wanting to hear the sultry tones of this Welsh Man… who’s accent is unbelievably Stronger due to the location I am at throughout the week!

I even brought the movie home… TS all the way… Good Tyomes like!

Well, if we do end up going with the early morning one, I can pretty much guarantee that I’ll be able to voice chat this time. Not sure about the later one.
