Pixar Planet Movie Night

Devastated very, very deeply. I was ready for the conference, fought my tiredness & sleepiness…but what that I got: A really bad Internet connection. :frowning:
Sorry guys, maybe next time.

We had a sudden change of plans. Since TSS couldn’t come, everyone redecided that we should watch A Bug’s Life instead. It was a little more quiet than most meetings, but it was still a lot of fun. I think we’ll slate The Incredibles for the same time next week.

Sorry you couldn’t join in wannabechef, kind of a shame. :\ Hopefully you’ll have a better connection next week.

Well, I didn’t get to say goodbye, but thanks for that. It was fun, once again. You’re all really nice and funny. We ended up watching A Bug’s Life, I think we’re going to wait for The Star Swordsman to be free then we’ll watch The Incredibles. Same time next week should be fine for me, I think.

Who else agrees we should try to break the record of 9 people at one session?

Sorry I couldn’t make it this time, guys.

And I really can’t believe that y’all watched A Bug’s Life. That’s really cold. That’s my favorite movie. :imp:

Anyways, I’m glad it was good and I plan to join in next week  And I like this time slot too, though, with that being the last weekend before school, if we get it back to the original time, it would be a great way to start the day.

I do! :-D)

b-t-dubbs: How many people ended up showing up to this one?

Rachel: Haha, I’m down for it!

By the way, regarding your comment about me being a bit better about talking about Up, I tend to be really frantic once I find something I love a lot (take my first week on the boards for instance, I was posting like a MANIAC) and I can’t contain myself, so I think it’s along the lines that I’ve kinda calmed down about it now. I still love it to DEATH, but I’m just not constantly going crazy about it. I also tend to be rather narrow-minded about that kind of stuff too, meaning that I talk about that, and ONLY that for quite a while. I’ve managed to branch off more since then, as I believe you’ve noticed, so hopefully I don’t seem like such a freak, if you kinda got that impression of me (sorry :\ ). I kinda expect to go nuts about Newt when the time comes, so kinda be prepared for that, haha!

Sorry for going off topic about that, but I just kinda thought you should know about my outbursts of enthusiasm, hehe.

Lauren: Yeah, I kinda figured that would irk you once you found out. It wasn’t my decision, I swear! :stuck_out_tongue: Honestly, it was a bit more quiet than most movie gatherings, I was hoping you’d show up in the middle at some point. It IS your favorite, so I think it would have been a bit more active with you in the group, it’d be cool to hear you talk about it, kinda see why you love it so much (hey, somebody’s gotta!) Sorry you had to miss out. :\

By the way, including me, I believe we had 7 people this time, a bit smaller than before, but not bad.

Oh good, so my irking was expected.

It’s just, that out of the 7(?) movies we haven’t watched as a group, y’all pick my favorite. That’s okay, my luck seemed to kinda run this way today, so yeah…

And 7 people isn’t too bad. Fairly decent.

Hey, I tell ya what. Down the line, I’ll hold another movie night, and we’ll watch it again. Honestly, I didn’t pay too much attention to the movie itself, and we didn’t talk too much about it. I’ll bet it’s because you weren’t there actually, so I hope that makes you feel better! Can’t fully enjoy a movie without your friend that really LOOOVES it!

Also, I’m sorry to hear you had a rough day, having that top it off must have been a bit frustrating. I’ll try to make it up to you, really. I didn’t expect you to be as upset as you seem, I apologize. It really didn’t feel as good as the other movie gatherings, especially since people were just kinda dropping off the list like flies, TSS, Mitch, and Totoro, as well as you to name a few, just before we started.

Oh, my day was bad, but not that bad. Not as bad as I think you’re thinking. It was just one of those off days, the days where when you don’t start off on the right foot, you’re stuck on the left for the rest of the day. I don’t hold a grudge or feel bad about most things for too long. I just hope I didn’t make y’all feel guilty D:

Yeah, I think we’re just trying to get into the groove of things; with school starting and such, our attention is somewhere else than we are.

Oh well. I just can’t wait for next weekend’s movie.
Whatever we end up watching.

So what exactly are we watching next week? I had a lot of fun (even though i didn’t talk much) and i can’t wait to do it again.

It’s no biggie disneydutchess, it was awfully quiet this time, it’s not usually so awkward. If TSS can make next week, we’re most definitely doing TI for him (and we gotta do ABL again at some point for TWCS, she’d make it more fun!)

Well, this saturday probably won’t work becaue I’m participating in a Pixar Planet Commentary. Sunday won’t work because I’m atending an end-of-summer barbeque. Monday is when I start school. So if you guys plan anything before Saturday, most likely, it will be a yes.

Well, we could do it Friday, thankfully I’m planning this early in the week, so we have the leisure of having a bit more time to take care of it. We just gotta make sure that enough people are good for Friday at 4:30 CST, same time as last week (jFri not Sat)

Who’s in?

Can I just check that that’s at 10:30pm GMT time? If so, I should be able to make it…It’s a difficult one really, as I’m staying out very late Thursday night and into Friday morning so I might just end up sleeping the rest of the day and accidentally missing the commentary. So I’m a ‘maybe’.

I’d be a little late, but I could make that time

I’m hoping to make this… i might need to leave a bit early, but, hey, TI is gonna be great to discuss!

Would love to, but I’ll be moving back to school Friday.

Man, this is starting to get difficult with everyone going back to school. Busy, busy, busy! I thankfully don’t have an overwhelming amount of stuff on my plate from classes, but I still need to keep my priorities in check. This place is definitely 2nd on my list behind school though, so I’ll still be here pretty often. I just hope we can still get a substantial group together.

Like Lauren, I can make it but I will be late.

So it would be The Incredibles we’re watching then? Can you make it The Star Swordsman? But in any case, sure, that time would be a-ok for me, most likely. You can count me in. =)

To anyone who watches the PAL version of the DVDs, you can download SMPlayer and it has the option to slow down the movie by 4%. It’s really easy to use and will stop us going out of sync.

Cool, I can’t wait to comment and chat with another fellow Aussie for the first time, Phileas!

Is your RL friend going to be there again, ffdude1906? You were both really funny.

Ok…

Now we’re talking Friday? Shouldn’t be a problem.

We’re doing The Incredibles? No Problem, as long as we carry it out this time.

Record of Nine… could be beaten.
