If anyone has a video camera and would be interested in hosting an episode of a new “Pixar Planet Television”, please PM me, or email me at aonethirteen@yahoo.com and we might be able to make this an official part of Pixar Planet.
What exactly is Pixar Planet Television’s goals? WHat do you hope to accomplish with it? What will it feature?
A113, I hate to break it to ya, but if Pixar Planet hasn’t endorsed the idea, it cannot carry the Pixar Planet name. I know the MySpace page does, but we didn’t know about its existence until after it was created and posted on the forum, and it remains unofficial.
TSS: Anything you want, really. It’d be nice to have a few entertaining shows each month from different members.
PV: Thank you for the correction. If it’s not endorsed, it’ll be worked around.
I think it’s a good idea, but I wouldn’t like to host it, sorry. I will edit the video if anyone wants to do it though.
This is a great idea, A113. The episodes could be put on YouTube. I’d be willing to put together a few pieces for each show, yeah! Not sure if I’d want to be in front of the camera, though, but I’d think about it.
Well, would you staff be willing to think it over and give us permission for it to brand the PP name? I’m sure we’d be willing to compromise so it represents PP quite well, as long as you’re willing on giving direction when it’s needed.
Thanks, Rachel!
For one show idea, we could have a Pixar newscast, with the most recent news from Upcoming Pixar and other sources. If only there was an anchorman who could do this in front of a greenscreen; i could edit that into a news-like video. What do you think?
I’m not sure about appearing in front of the camera, but I would be happy to edit and produce a few segments with a voice-over.
The commentaries we’ll be recording might make some entertaining shows.
I will edit it wiith my fancy new program. It doesn’t necesarily have to have actual presenters, it can just be a voice over, like radio, but with visual elements.
Honestly, I think the commentaries would be better suited as their own fandom medium… If you are going to make Pixar Planet TV it should be more like a TV show or a webcast, rather than just pictures with a voiceover (not saying we wouldn’t do that sometimes, though.) It should offer something that Radio Pixar or other fan mediums couldn’t.
Actually… maybe we could use a little bit of an episode (30 seconds or so) to promote the commentaries, but we’d have to see how it turns out.
We could do interviews with pixar planet users and members…like scyther our 1000th member. This way we could get to know mostly everyone…
sorry to double post
we could also try to advertise on certain threads like (fanfictions, The Traitor Game, and many more for users to join)
This way users could see the most popular threads without having to search for them. You could also do reviews (of pixar films) that members could fill out. This would also be a great way to advertise contests and winning entries…you would need some help starting that up though A113…
Thing is, if one has to record one-self to make it happen, I am a little hesitant to do it. because I don’t like putting my self on camera unless I am someone else besides me (playing a character)
maybe we could just have a photo of you instead…or a TSS avatar…in case people don’t want to be shown we could do photos or avatars (better in my opinion)
do it “fonejacker” style!
problems
help to do video…A113 couldn’t do this alone…
editing across the world…(not as hard)
people to do articles or written ideas…
i could do articles that announcer would report about…
Yes, but it’s basically radio with pictures!
yep just visuals…but if you do video it would look better…
I’m just worried that since no one wants to put themselves on screen, it might turn out to be another Radio Pixar.
