Pixar Planet Time Spent

Hey guys, I went to my “View Profile” page, and it turns out that the average number of posts I make a day is 22.87 (the more posts you make, the more it goes up; mine is 22.88 percent now – I just checked). You guys can obviously go to your own profile page and see the percent of posts you contribute to the boards, as well.

I have an average of 2.81 per day. xD Odd, since it feels like I post a lot more than that …

Well, my posts per day is about 23.50 according to my profile.

Well since we’re saying what our posts per day is mine is 3.01 which makes sense to me. I think I do post about 3 times a day

Mine’s 7, which seems scarily

accurate. But it is an average, so if you go away for a week and don’t post, it does lower it a lot.

That is true. And the oppisite is just the same. You post

alot on a habit and it tends to increase a little bit.

Wow. I didn’t realise Pixar Planet Forums was as important and dear, to the rest of

you guys, as it was to me as well.

I would say I visit every day at least, and if the computer is

on all day, and I’m at home, I would visit every hour to see if there are any new posts. This is usually the

first site I visit (aside from my homepage which is Google).

None of my friends are really into Pixar,

like I am, but one of my friends claims that she likes Pixar films but if I pressed her on it (which I wouldn’t

  • I couldn’t be bothered), she probably wouldn’t know much about Pixar’s films/history/future projects or

anything. Maybe she just says it so she sounds cool?

But overall, since no-one in “real life”

is into Pixar with depth that I am, I love this place and all my friends here, who enjoy this place as much as I

do. =) You guys really are like a second family.

Ah, thank you

Sky. I could say the same thing too. I have been coming to PP for so long, I am starting to think you all are

my brothers and sisters, linked together with a common passion.

Eh, I haven’t been coming here that long (I didn’t

know about it!). But “brothers and sisters” is a great way to put it!

Seriously. I think

I have spent more time with you guys lately than my friends and family. (which is potentially a bad thing) but at

least it is with my second “family”. :unamused:

I don’t think so. But still, I feel a sudden guilt about

it.

As the Internet because more blended with our lives, the line between

“friends” and “online friends” becomes blurred. Now you can take this as negative or

positive. The thing is, is to keep a balance I guess? For me that is a bit hard because I’m not really into the

things my “real” friends are…

But it’s not like we are sitting at the computer talking to a

computer, we are talking to real people using a computer, and without the option of the Internet we wouldn’t be

able to.

I for one think it’s cool.

Heh, I can

never keep a balance. I’m pretty anti-social in real life, mostly because looks matter more in my reality. I’m

not ashamed of it- I found a lot of artists are anti-social. I find time is better spent writing stories and

drawing and stuff rather than being my sister and hanging out in the mall. :stuck_out_tongue:

I do have time off Pixar

Planet though- I have daily chores of taking care of all the cockatiels and one of the parrots, and my cat, so

… I can’t be on 24/7. I’ve been spending more time just sitting in my room and thinking, to help collect my

thoughts and brainstorm. This sometimes leads to sleep but sometimes I use things from dreams I have in my little

stories.

Yeah, I don’t really have anything in common with my ‘real friends’ either, but

IMO, that just shows what good friends they are that they’ll put up with my ranting and raving about Pixar and

other subjects that they’re not so keen on.

It’s nice being able to have the option, though, of

being able to talk to other people purposefully because they have the same interests as you, even if they are

across the other side of the world, and your means of communication is the internet! I don’t think it makes much

of a difference how people manage to communicate with each other, be it in person or on some forums, because

their real personality will still shine through nonetheless.

I personally don’t have ‘friends’ on here, as no one will talk to me off-the-boards, like a

lot of people do on other boards I go to … I wonder if it’s the same here. And also, I think I came across as

a psychopath in the past, and I still think everyone thinks I’m a psychopath so … I tread carefully. ^^ Or at

least I try to.

My friends in real life don’t seem to like Pixar, only that the movies are ‘alright’

but in-depth obsessive conversation usually leaves them cross-eyed or near sleeping. :stuck_out_tongue:

Same thing

here…Except for two of my best friends. they’re the ones who got me into Pixar in the first place! So pretty

much every week we have nice chats about Pixar-related stuff…This week we talked about my viewing of

Ratatouille 2 weeks before it releases. MWAHAHAH!!!

i am tempted to tell my friends about this site and tell them to spend at least one day on it.

Now that I’m off of school, I believe I’ll be spending more time of the site than ever. Now, I don’t mean staying on the boards 24-7, I just mean enough to enjoy the conversations with you guys over the summer.

Which is another reason why we are all thankful for summer right? Well, durring my summer, I’ll see if I can dedicate full days just to PP. Now that would be something.
