I was thinking of making a Pixar Podcast.
Would anyone download it if I did. It would be basically just a bi-monthly episode of news, and other goings on
in terms of Pixar.
Thanks.

I would totally listen
to it! You should try to add in some fun segments too… maybe (if it’s possible in any way) get some interviews
and such. That’s probably what will grab you listeners… And I suggest getting a partner… it’s always more
fun when it’s more than one person talking to the audience as well as to each other. That being said, don’t go
off topic tooooo much.
I hope it takes off!!
Whatever Jamie just said . . . I’m basically saying the same thing. Don’t stray too much
off topic (it’s gotta be about PIXAR!) and make sure it’s the latest info . . . which wouldn’t be hard if you
can grab some PIXAR interviews!
Well, as you can see, I’m in Scotland, so there is no chance of an interview. I don’t
know anyone else who is into Pixar like me, which is a problem.
The other problem is I am Scottish, and
although I don’t have a problem with my accent (for obvious reasons), I understand that for some reason, other
people do.
I’ll get to work. ![]()
Maybe you can do something like the old BBC show Pure24
did back when they aired the first two seasons of 24.
They sometimes had guests and stuff in person, but
in some cases the special guest was there via phone or computer??
Yeah most
podcast interviews I’ve heard were over the phone (you can tell because their “mic” is low quality).
That would be rather expensive to do it long distance I suppose though. And I have no problem with a Scottish
accent… for me as an American it takes a few minutes to get used to and understand but then you get it.

Nice thought, but the phone bills
would run into hundreds of pounds then. I suppose I can think of other things to be interesting enough.
Hmm I wonder how other podcasts support it. I suppose donations… because
Pottercast has interviews with castmembers from the Harry Potter movies all the time… but then again they have
a whole staff behind them… hmm. I guess after some time you could get enough support to start interviews…

Ahh… forgot about Skype!
Have you set it up yet? because I’d really like to
know what type of recording programs exist out there…
You guys have to understand, this is like me and a
computer with a microphone in my room. LOL. I don’t have Skype, it’s relatively new here.
But if it’s the same as over here (which I’d bet it is), it’s
free, so there’s no reason not to get it!
And that’s all you need for that program.
I know I’d
listen if it was done. Obviously it’d be tough to do just news or something, so I agree with everyone else on
having certain segments and all. Maybe even contests. And I don’t know about you, but personally I love
character discussions and dissections (not literally, of course). Just a thought. That if anything would be
probably the best reason to get at least one partner for the show, since, as we’ve seen here on the boards,
those are always best when it’s more than one person tossing ideas back and forth.
I can’t get a partner so it looks
like it’s off. ![]()
That stinks. ![]()
I’m sure you wouldn’t have much trouble finding someone here on Pixar Planet
who would be willing to be your partner via Skype…

Once again, I don’t have Skype. But someone could record
a section for me each episode, send it to me, and I’ll stick it in.
Well, it’s not like it’s
that tough to download, it’s just like any other instant-messaging system. One of my friends mentioned it to me
one day when we were talking with Yahoo messenger because she and some of our other friends all had it, and I was
set in an hour, high estimate.
So is it a programme as well. I thought Skype was the term
for the hardware involved, but I can use my microphone, is that what you mean.
