I’m looking to do a Pixar Podcast and was looking for some co-host(s). Would anyone be interested in doing a podcast all about Pixar and maybe even other Disney Animation movies.
Wow, an actual Pixarian gracing our boards! 
(A Pixarian is the name us fans gives to any person who works at Pixar.)
As for the podcast, Pixar Planet already has an official podcast called “Radio Pixar”. However it’s been on hiatus for 4 months now, with no word on if and when the next episode will be online. The releases are sporadic at best, which is kind of a shame because there were some real opportunities to be expanded upon with that medium. But I don’t see why us members couldn’t make another podcast centred on Pixar, especially to fill the void left by Radio Pixar. I’d be interested in producing some segments or co-hosting, yeah. I’d have to think about it, though.
How about any other Pixar Planeteers? Would you be interested in being involved?
I think it would be fun to be involved in a Pixar podcast. Don’t know how much free time I will have with school and all, but I’ll think about it. 
The Pixarian - First and foremost, welcome to Pixar Planet!
Secondly, and as rachelcakes1985 mentioned, this website already harnesses its own podcast entitled Radio Pixar, but its dormancy is heavily felt. Nevertheless, I also wouldn’t mind joining in on another installment of a Pixar-related podcast, perhaps as a co-host or a commentator on a particular subject (such as video games based on the Pixar films).
I was thinking the exact same thing. No kidding.

I’d love to start up a site that covers all animated movies and the games that are released for each movie. That could be something we work on together Mitch.
The Pixarian - It is a possibility. For me, the main issue would be to find time in my schedule to devote my attention to a website. Unfortunately, I have no experience in web design, but I am a fairly decent writer, so I would be able to assist you in that field. In addition, I am a huge fan of video games (including the Pixar-related ones), so typing up reviews concerning that medium would be right up my alley as well.
As it stands, there’s probably a 45% chance that I’d be able to do it, but I’ll get back to you on that.

Yay, Mitch! I think you have a really good voice and speaking manner to do a podcast. You could review the latest Pixar video games on different platforms, and even research and do a report on old Pixar video games of yore (Toy Story on Sega, A Bug’s Life on PC etc). You wouldn’t necessarily have to play those video games. A lot of websites have screencaps and sometimes even video. That sounds like a really neat segment idea.
How often would the podcast be released? I don’t think it would be worth it trying to do this end then end up disappointing the listeners by not delivering on schedule. Every three weeks sounds about right to me, and if we are really organised, maybe every two weeks. If we got a few people making one segment each, then the workload would be considerably lighter and there would be more of a chance of delivering each episode in time (in theory.) And then the whole show would be pulled together by the host.
I also think if the podcast goes ahead it, should be more interactive and have more input and feedback from this forum, of which Radio Pixar wasn’t. Which is fine, if that was their style, but we have members and threads/discussions here that would be too good to waste.
I wouldn’t mind hosting or cohosting this if needed. I like the suggestions and I would be 100% active in this if it passes.
Rachel - Ha-ha. Oh, pish-posh, my voice sounds terrible. I think that it’s tooo… “Californian”, in my opinion. Oh well. Thank you! I’m glad that you like it. (heh)
I agree with you in that, if a second Pixar-related podcast is to be established, the schedule it runs on should be a timely, punctual, and decent one that will not disappoint its listeners.
Agreed. I always thought the same thing, although I never voiced it orally or in writing. I would like it if there was a podcast which touched on the forums of Pixar Planet in addition to national and international Pixar news.

Sigh. Mitch, no matter how many times I say it, you just won’t believe me: your voice is lovely and you have a very easy-to-listen-to accent, too. 
There’s also the possibility before going on any further that we could offer to take over Radio Pixar as it is now. No matter how unlikely I think it is, it’s always worth a try to ask…
Yeah, I’d love to give news on the international side of things, or at least the Australian side. I don’t think that would be very much news, though, but it would still be good to have news outside of the US, from other countries.
Most of my time, my main project here is the Pixar commentaries, so that would be a first priority for me, I think. But if I was only given one segment to record and produce per fortnight (two weeks), then that shouldn’t be a problem. We could also have a different co-host every week or bring in special guests to share the load, and to also give people a chance to be on the show at least once.
I also have tons of other ideas I wrote down a while back, one of them being that we could invite two members of this forum into the “studio” and pit them against each other in a Pixar quiz. You could have two general Pixar fans, or two Ratatouille fans etc and see who reigns supreme in that Pixar field. Heheh. Or we could have a point/counter-point debating segment where we have two members discussing, for example, Pixar doing sequels or whether Pixar should do live-action. I think it would be really interesting, and bring a bit of fun and balance to the show, so we don’t just have Pixar news the whole time, though, that’s important, too. I have other ideas, but those are just a couple for now.
The Pixarian - What kind of segments in the show are you thinking of having? What would be your plan for this podcast and its objective?

I forgot to reply to the “video games” idea that you mentioned in your second-to-last post, but, yeah, I’d love to review some of the games. My sister and I have tons of Pixar-related computer and PlayStation 2 games, and we’re always buying the latest ones, so providing critique on them wouldn’t be a problem.
You have a barrel full of great ideas, but I think that this one would have to be my favorite. Now that’s something that I would participate in…

I’d love to do a podcast with you and we could make it a weekly show or even a bi-weekly show. There is so much to talk about with what is going on in the world of Pixar and even the world of Disney. It’s an exciting time to be a Pixar Fan!

This sounds like such a cool project! I agree, it’s a real shame about the delay of Radio Pixar and something more regular would be a good idea. I hope this project gets the go-ahead, since it’d be nice for members to be able to talk about their thoughts on Pixar outside the Fan Commentaries. It’d be brilliant if Mitch, TSS and Rachel, if you guys are involved because you all know about different aspects of Pixar and would make a Pixar Podcast very interesting and varied! And having guests would mean that the load would be shared and once again, you’d get different voices and opinions.
The folks here at Pixar Planet take pasion and excitement for Pixar to a whole other level. That’s why I wanted to see if anyone from here would want to do a postcast! If we keep the show going and keep it up to date…I might be able to pull some strings and get some guests from Pixar to join the show for interviews!
