Pixar Squares!

With so many Pixar games available recently, I thought I would make another one.

Live from Pixar Animation Studios California, this is Hollywood Squares Pixar style! The rules are simple:

This is a 2 player game, not inclusive of me.

This is your Tic Tac Toe squares. Each are labeled individually Top Left, Top, Top Right, Left, Center, Right, Bottom Left, Bottom, and Bottom Right from left to right in a linear manner. To indicate which square you would like to place your X or O, just call out one of the labels and I will mark it down on a piece of paper.

But, in order to get a chance to mark an X or O, you will have to determine the truthfulness of my Pixar trivia. In other words, each round, I will give a Pixar trivia related question followed by my answer and you have to determine if I’m telling the truth, if my answer is accurate.

The first player to score a strike across three X’s or O’s gets to host the next game.

I would suggest that both players each keep a set of Tic Tag Toe squares with their chosen icons consistently in position for best gaming experience. You could use a paper and a pencil/pen to do this. But, if you have a good memory/inference skills, and you don’t want the inconvenience, this can be optional.

For now, the first poster gets to choose to use an X or an O, with the next one competing against the first one using the other icon (X or O). In future games, the same thing occurs, with the first poster being able to choose his/her choice of icon.

Let the games begin!

First, pick an icon (X or O). I will give the first trivia after the two posters have picked their icons.

This sounds like fun! I’ll be the O person…

Alright, I just need someone to be an X person and we can start.

Alright, due to a low popularity level, I’m going to start the game with woody first instead. How do we do that? Easy. After woody mark an icon on the squares, it would simply be woody’s turn to test me with a trivia that’s either true or not, and I will have to figure out its truthfulness. I mark an icon if I win, if not, it’s woody’s turn to be tested again.

If, by any chance, another member, not either woody or me, comes in and post in request to play, then he will take my place and take over, continuing the round with my X’s still in place in the same positions.

If during the round, any of you have any questions, feel free to post!

Now, let the games begin!

Here’s the first trivia for woody:
What is ratatouille in real life?
It is a popular French expletive.

Determine if I’m telling the truth.

~ Flare

Nope! I had it once, It’s a dish  So is it my turn to ask a question?

lol No, you choose which square you would like to place your O on (use the labels listed in the first post). Then it’s your turn to ask a question and provide a trivia which is either true or not.

~ Flare

oh, I’ll take the one in the middle, thank you. OK, this is an easy one

Fillmore has a different color every time you see him in the film
True or false? o.O

True. I would never forget that jazz rapping coolio.

~ Flare

correct!

Alright, I think I’m gonna go with the Top Left square.

Next question!

Which legendary English actor voices the meticulous food critic, Anton Ego?
Ian McKellen. Definitely him. Could have recognized his voice even if he has sore throat.

I have no idea, but I’m going to go with false…

Correct! Peter O’Toole, who holds the dubious honor of being the worse Best Actor Oscar nominee, unfortunately (he’s garnered 8 noms; 0 wins), gives life to Ego.

Choose a square, please!

I’ll take the bottom middle square…

the person who does the voice for Heimlich also does the voice of Jacques the shrimp

I’ll say it’s true.
~ Flare

yup! And the actor is the famous Pixarian, Joe Ranft!

I will take the square at the Top.

Next question.
Which legendary American actor came out of semi-retirement to voice a role in ‘Cars?’
It was Robert Redford. It was shame he didn’t win any Oscars for his role.

I have to say false, I’m pretty sure it’s Paul Newman…my dad freaked out when he heard him in the film, he thought he retired…

Congrats! It’s false! Newman joined Owen Wilson, who played Lightning McQueen, as retired racer Doc Hudson in what was Newman’s last role

  • the iconic actor and philanthropist passed away in September 2008.

…But, now it’s your turn to pick a square, woody.

~ Flare

I’ll take the top right square.

Remy is voiced by the same person who does the voice for a villain in Kim Possible

Oh, yeah, I think that’s definitely true. It’s Professor Dementor! lol I could recognize that voice even if he’s muffled!
