Told myself that I wasn’t going to check my profile and was just going to let things happen as they came… but this is ridiculous
Mercury, I’m in the same boat as you on that one but regardless it should be likely they’d have sent a rejection by now if that screwed you (the deadline was Saturday so it also sucks to be out of the running because no one could sign for it). That combined with, at least I think, I remember hearing a few people saying that they’d received rejection letters after sending in unfinished portfolios/maybe no portfolio at all? I’m not 100% sure but I think it’s likely ours got through. Guess we’ll see!
That being said I am really surprised so many people haven’t heard back at all yet. I’d still be super pleased to receive an acceptance but I’m still assuming all the spots are already filled.
I feel like they’re leading me on.
You have to remember, there are HUNDREDS of us that they have to go through.
I’m also still waiting around for a reply. I’m beginning to wonder though, for those that applied online, if our profile would even update. We submitted our portfolios through a different website, so they just need to download it from there and view it. I’m assuming that everyone else put some of their contact info on either their reels or their portfolio pieces as well though. That’s just a thought though. Could be totally wrong.
Someone said that their profile was updated around the time they got their rejection. Maybe we just got past the first stage of the review process. But that’s all conjecture at this point…stay positive. We’re all going through the same thing.
Maybe we will all have our answers by Friday?
I’m kind of operating under the assumption that Friday would be the last day. Right? It can’t go on too terribly much longer.
From my last email with the recruiter, they said they would have the final reel review last Friday and they “hope to make final decisions shortly there after.” Not knowing how huge their task might be, I still hope that means sometime in the next day or two. I live on my own, so going out to Pixar would mean leaving my job and moving out there or putting my belongings into storage, so I hope I hear something soon so that I can make the necessary plans, if any.
well none of us have received anything yet, so we’re either in limbo, in consideration, or something… When does this start?
It’s hard to think I still have a chance this late into the month but I’m still holding on to hope.
It aint over until you get that letter
If we are still in the running I wish they would send us an email to give us an update on how far along they are. And not only for animation and art but for marketing and post production.

Has anyone else got animation that we know if in the past couple weeks? Or is this the first animation acceptance we’ve seen so far?
Also has anyone heard about story at all? I haven’t seen that one come up in this thread much.
