Also to everyone asking about PUPS unfortunately I think that has ended. A kid at my school got accepted to the program and was added to a fb group with others who got accepted so its not definite but I would bet that PUPS has been decided 
On another note…it seems Lika sent out rejections today (at least for the art fabrication internship).
Got a rejection, but wasn’t too surprised. Anyone else hear back from Lika or Disney or any other industry leaders? 
I’ve been watching this thread for a while since I also applied for the animation internship but thought I’d finally say hi since I have some info on other internships.
Anyways. I haven’t heard from Pixar yet. I know Blue Sky is sending out rejection letters right now and Disney has been emailing people notifying people they got into the next round. Dreamworks is also almost done filling their spots. Other than that, I don’t know about Sony and Laika yet.
But yeah, the wait… it’s unbearable =)
Yeah, I had an interview with Disney last week and now I’m waiting to hear back. I haven’t heard anything from Laika and Sony yet. The wait is killer!

It was for the Technical Direction internship. I’m not really sure what their timeline is like for anything else I also don’t really know when they’re supposed to get back to me, but I think sometime in the next week. Good luck!

I’m a first-time member for the site and wanted to say “hello!” I applied for the summer Production Assistant internship, and haven’t had any change in status on my application yet. I also haven’t gotten an email just yet.
Do you know if you get an email or a phone call first (depending on whether you get in or not)? I go to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, so I don’t know if my being a Nebraskan will affect my chances.

Hey Em! I apply for the same thing but didn’t hear anything back yet, past people told me they have heard back the 15th of May for finals calls so there’s still a lot of hope and I doubt that will affect anything! Good luck!
Yeah, I hope we hear back soon! I don’t think you living in Nebraska will make a difference because I’ve heard of others getting Pixar from even other countries! The only thing I can think of is I thought the Production Internship required you to have a California license.

I actually heard that’s not entirely the case! And doesn’t effect if you get it or not, I think that’s a California resident thing

I was really concerned when I saw the California thing. The 15th of May is my birthday, so maaaaybe this is a sign of good things to come?

I’m not sure how many people Pixar takes for animation, (maybe 6-8?) but during the summer they for sure take between 8-10 for PUP, 10-12 for Story, and 1-4 for Art. (But as a whole there are between 50-80 interns. That leaves 31-54 positions to divide up between the other departments…)
From what I know this is going to be a slow year (which is why they cut the Art internship all together). So it’s probably best to guess on the lower numbers.

Sorry for the bad news, but it looks like Pixar just sent out the rejection e-mails for PUP. Did anyone here get into that internship?
Sorry for those who didn’t get the PUP internship. Congrats for those who got it! Still no update on marketing but that should be a quicker process because there aren’t any demo videos.
