Does anybody know where i would be able to pick up some of the earlier pixar art books? I’ve found toy story and a bugs life on amazon but being older they are mostly second hand.
The book i am really after is the art of monsters inc but the cheapest i have found it for is £100, and as much as i would love it, thats just a stupid price to pay
Pixarpedia is pretty darn cool. There’s a lot of small fun facts and every page is full of high quality pictures. Some locales like the island from The Incredibles and Pizza Planet from Toy Story have full maps, which I really enjoyed. And yeah, the info on Cars is crazy. Did you know that there’s a Luckeyliner Gentleman named Bud with a picture of the Jackalope from Boundin’ on him? 
If you’re a Pixar fan, this book is a must.
Oh, lovely, something else I need to spend money on… This sounds like a definite must-have.
That does sound like quite an amazing book, like a fountain of Pixar knowledge. I’d be really tempted to buy it if I had a bit more money, since it does seem like a book worth having.

After only a quick flick through… I am in love! Its beyond belief, it is stupidly amazing… or as Rusty would say: “TOTALLY WICKED”
I might go shopping for it tommorow. i spent a whole day reading it in a bookstore, but I didn’t money to buy it.

I love all of the details that they have included in the book, especially all of the info on the lesser known background characters. It’s a lot of fun to browse through. Also, you can memorize even more obscure facts about your favorite Pixar movie if you so wish…
I just got this book yesterday at Barnes & noble for 10% off.
my dad suprised me with it, and it was 1 of da greatest moments of my life!!

Oh, my goodness… I got my copy and oh, man, there goes the rest of my weekend! I am just bowled over! I’ve just barely skimmed a few pages, but this is so cool. I was pleasantly surprised to see the inclusion of the shorts that played with the features, plus the “bonus” DVD shorts like “Jack-Jack Attack” and “Your Friend the Rat.” Well worthwhile.
I finally got it yesterday. I spent a whole day reading it. It was so cool.

Been playing with the idea of purchasing this book after having a quick look throught it at HMV a few weeks ago, and after reading some of your comments I think I’ll order it in a few days so that it arrives after the opening of Up so that I can avoid spoilers.
Also the UK version has a cooler looking cover than the American one in my opinion 
Just ordered the USA version on the german amazon ! I just couldn’t help myself, it sounds THAT awesome!
I bought my copy a few weeks ago! I love it, when they say they have EVERY character in every Pixar movie documented in this encyclopedia, they mean EVERY character!
I love my copy, I recomend it for any hardcore Pixar fan! Worth the $40
