I haven’t been here long enough to figure out if the Pixarplanet awards are each year. I was just wondering if we will have them next year. 
The first Pixar Planet Awards were held late last year, and I’m hoping to run the awards again this year in November. Hopefully it will be an annual event.
Everyone seemed to have like the idea and hopefully, we will have more participants and nominations next year. The PP Awards work only if we have people participating.
I can’t wait for the 2nd Annual Pixar Planet Awards this year! 
I already have some nominations in mind… I really hope it will become an annual thing, because I was pretty upset that I was late for last year’s.

Is there anything new to it this year or will we have the same awards as last year??
We’ll probably have the same awards, but in October or so I’ll create a new thread letting people give their input for any new awards they’d like to have this time around.
I really hope we have them! Sounds like an awesome idea! What are some of the “awards” that are given out? I have some people in mind already that deserve awards! This should be fun!

I’m gonna lose!!!
It’s true! I’m definatly not the best new member of 2009 (for one I joined last year), I’m not the funniest, my fan made vidoes (which I need to start again) aren’t super, my fanfics aren’t popular, I can’t upload my artwork onto my computer so those categories are out, pretty much all of them!!! I lose a lot of awards and contests anyways. So it’s not gonna be much of a big deal.
I wrote out all the categories featured in last year’s contest on a separate file on my computer and have already started filling in the blanks for my nominations. This is going to be so much fun, and I really can’t wait to “cast my votes”, if you will.
I’m not gonna get all discouraged if I don’t get anything. I mean, seriously, I think a lot of people here are more annoyed of me than anything; especially because I’m a Christian conservative and do not shut my mouth about it. (Can’t make me, either; although I have gotten better about arguing and stuff…

Don’t worry…i didn’t get any awards last year…and some of my fanfictions are not so popular either. That is what drives me to get better…i want to get to the point where my stuff is recognized as award-deserving.
Your fanfics are becoming very emotional and great in that sense. If you keep getting better you will start to receive some nominations…

I deffinately won’t win any of those! My fanfic is probably one of the least populer, and my comments aren’t super either.
Maybe I can win the least likely to win an award award!
True, my fanfics are better now (joining FanFiction.net really helped and is still helping me become a better writer) but I don’t know. I know I can’t compete with TSS’s fanfic Syndrome’s Return. (I haven’t read it for I’m not an Incredible’s fan, but I’ve noticed it’s large number of hits.) It’s bound to get a nomination while I’m probably not. I don’t usually have such low self-esteem, but it’s true. My fanfics are good, but when you compare them to everyone’s fanfics, they aren’t super.
His got “Best Fanfiction” last year, I believe, so I don’t think it would be “right”, in a sense, to vote for it again… but I could be wrong. Don’t quote me on that. 
And don’t be so discouraged about your fanfics or how many views they are getting - I don’t look at how many views there are. I look at responses. If you’re not getting many responses, then you feel like your work isn’t good enough. Trust me, I’ve been going through this crap for just over a month now; and some kind words from a friend really helped to pick me up. (Thanks, Mitch! ) You’ve already got a good mindset: at least you are getting better.
But let’s get back on-topic, shall we…?

Yeah, sorry 'bout that. I was originally talking about how I’d lose the awards. Then it got on to my fanfiction skills. I’ve been known to go off-topic outside of the Internet, so it’s normal. Back to talking about the awards guys! I mean it!
Well, look at it this way: whether you win or lose, it’s just an honour to be nominated. And even if you didn’t get nominated, it doesn’t mean you’re a loser, either.
