I have to read October Sky for my summer reading project. Itās also a depressing book. Yāknow, Iām starting ot think that the schools get some of the Prozac profits with all these depressing books they give us

I havenāt read the book, twitch, but I have seen the film adaptation, Rocket Boys, which I thought was awesome. The coolest thing I thought about Rocket Boys though was that it is an anagram of āOctober Skyā and the title still bears meaning in relation to the story!

Why canāt my reading program be that fun? The way our system works, you read one book and you get a hole in your punch card. The problem is, some kids may read really small books and go through a bunch of cards, while others spend their time reading very intellectual long books (like me ). We havenāt got anything like writing essays and stuff around here (which I find very fun). Lucky for me, I go through 400-paged books every 3 days (even without the library program), so I havenāt got anything to worry about.
Oh yeah, anyone heard of the Enderās Game series by Orson Scott Card? I read through those last year, and my favorite one was Xenocide.
When you said Rocket Boys, you made me think of the band āA Rocket To The Moonā. Thereās a song called āLike We Used Toā. That is one heck of a tearjerker.

I do! I used to listen to Owl City all the time, even though Iām a guy, so I guess thatās a little weird and creepy. Yeah, but I kinda grew out of him. But heās one of the few modern music artists that I feel actually deserves all the attention heās getting, because he actually does have musical talent!
