No I was just asking because I happen to be African-American…and I too hate racism…
All races are good, it’s specific people that are bad. You’re nice, just so you know. ![]()
Awww,Thanks Virgina!!!hugs ![]()
I was in school and couldn’t talk. I didn’t say hi to either one of you because I couldn’t. This is the first time I’m logging on here since I got home. No, I’m not angry over the Mater thing. If I was, I wouldn’t be talking to you. It’s an opinion based thing.
As for how I feel about people with different races, I don’t see different races. I just see people. My boyfriend is Asian and I’m Caucasian. I’ve had African-American boyfriends in the past as well as Hispanic boyfriends. I live in NYC and it’s extremely diverse here. If someone is racist here, they’re living in the wrong place.
Personally, even though some of my friends beg to differ, I don’t see a difference in the races. My friends, not meaning to be racist, would say things like, “insert race here kiss better than insert race here” or "insert race here act like gentlemen a lot more than insert race here. I’ve only had one boyfriend that was my race. Not one difference.
No, you’re not too late at all.
Thanks for the help! Yeah, our new principal doesn’t have many friends right now. I’m sure you are able to see why.
This is the only advanced music class, so to speak. You have to play an instrument to get into our Jazz Band. It isn’t like Concert Band where they teach you the instrument and work your way up. Jazz music is his life so the principal basically took his baby away.
He was crying. We told him about the Facebook group and he got really happy. He was very proud of us. When I told him that some of you, my online friends whom I’ve never met before, were helping us, he was ecstatic! Every little bit counts and the more the better. ![]()
It’s no problem, XcarluverX. I almost can’t believe how many Racists there are in this day and age…some things will never change, I suppose. ![]()
I have a feeling it will change. Especially with our generation. For some reason, the older generation seems to be a lot more racist than ours.
Eh, there are a lot of Racists in ,y school. My school is on farmland, so I’m not surprised, but still. I hate my area…
That’s horrible. I couldn’t live like that. Listening to hatred of another race, just because they’re another race, would make me feel so sick. ![]()
I know! My grandpa is the stereotypical “racist old man”, and sometimes some of his comments bother me. I just have to remind myself that he’s from a different time. I live in one of the most racially diverse cities in Canada (it’s in the top 3) so my school is like one big melting pot of cultures. I just love it ![]()
Anyway, hi guys!
I’ve been really busy lately, I’m sure you guys can relate. Especialy you Jeff. I’m sorry to hear you had such a bad week. Glad things have calmed down for you
I’m going to try and come on more.
Hi guys
Hi, Evil!! I missed you.
Honestly, most of the black kids that do go to my school make fun of me, but I try to ignore them. They’re just sour because all the hicks around here give them crap. In middle school, my best friend was a Haitian girl named Stephanie. I wish everyone could be semi-nice.
The first friend I ever mad in school was black, we don’t talk as much but he’s cool.
Hey David and Danielle!
Yeah, I must say that it’s a bit hard to overcome. We need to old generation to except the fact that the world is moving on and they should too.
After a certain age, people lose the ability to change. That’s why old people don’t learn languages.
Hey, David! Sorry I missed you there.
Any of you guys seen Gran Torino? Clint Eastwood plays the role of racist old man to a T. He’s just perfect.
I agree Jessie, older generations need to try and be more accepting. Although I do see what you mean Virginia. Like the old saying goes, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks
None of the people at my school are racist, at least none of the people I talk to. Like I said before, my area is very culturally diverse. My friend’s group for an upcoming school project includes a black girl, a hispanic boy, and indian girl, and him (a caucasion boy). They get along great, and I have no doubt their project will turn out well. I honestly don’t see what race, religion, etc. has to do with what a person is really like on the inside.
What I do find that’s sickening are the kids whom are racist because of their parents. ![]()
I don’t know any racist people who went to my school, thats good. Thats ok Evil.
I want to watch Gran Torino, but my mom says no.
I hate missing out on great cinema because of my age…it should have more to do with maturity.
I haven’t seen it either. I should one day. I heard it was a great movie but I also heard it has a lot of racial slurs.
I really want to watch it, but my mom says no. I’m missing out on lots of classic film from 1978 to now because of my mom’s rules. Perfect. ![]()
