Pixarteers Thread!

I know! Like when you rent a DVD I tend to skip through the previews but there is just something about watching them at the theatre that is different. To me, if I walk in and they’re already playing the previews, that counts as late. The previews are just an aspect about the theatre that I love. I like it 'cause you always get all excited like “Oh! That movie looks so cool!” then you forget about it 'cause it doesn’t come out for another six months. 8D Or you get into the previews and find yourself thinking, “What movie am I here to see again?” My mom actually asked me that once while we were in the theatre after the previews ended! Yeah, I love smoothies too. The ones from our theatre are the best. Did you have one from McDonald’s? They have that kind don’t they?

Yes! I wanted to try it forever even though I’m not a McDonald’s person, but it was surprisingly delicious. And you just described it perfectly! It’s just not the same watching them at home. Like, the grand scale of it just isn’t anywhere near what it is at a theater. And I always forget what movie I came to see, unless it’s something I’d been looking forward to for a while, like Harry Potter or Cars or something. Previews are the best. A lot of the time they’re better than the movie they’re advertising!

^ I love the previews, too! My dad’s the only one who doesn’t like them. He always says stuff like “Why do we have to leave so early? We’ll have to sit through the previews!”

Mmm! Sounds good! I keep seeing commercials for it but they don’t carry them at our McDonald’s here. :frowning: LOL, last year my mom and I started going on a smoothie craze but other than the theatre we couldn’t find any. So when we went to Florida we vowed that we were gonna have a smoothie from McDonald’s. The funny part was that we drank lots of smooties there but never ended up having one from McDonald’s! :stuck_out_tongue: Hahaha, and I am so happy I’m not the only person who really enjoys the previews.

8D I think yesterday was actually the first time I had a smoothie! It was so refreshing. I might go smoothie-crazy the next half of the summer

^ I’ve actually never had a smoothie before. We tried making them at my friend’s house a while back but the blender broke. :stuck_out_tongue:

That stinks! I’m sure it was fun to try it though  They’re really good though! Water ice might be a teansy bit better though

Evangeline: I only went smoothie crazy from the influence of my own mother. 8D It would be a great summer craze to have though, you should try it out! :stuck_out_tongue: Lately we’ve been having non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiris. They’re even better than smoothies I think!
K9Girl: Yeah, the home-made ones aren’t as good in my opinion. Our blender makes this funny smoke smell when we try to make them! 8D

Mmmmm that sounds good! My favorite summer treats are mainly water ice and ice cream, and funnel cake. Even better with ice cream on top

Forgive me but what is “water ice”?

It’s kinda like a slushy, with really thinly crushed up ice and some flavor. It’s so good! Brainstorm: Have you ever had one of those Minutemaid frozen lemonade things? They’re like that!

Ohhh! I’ve had those MinuteMaid ones, they’re awesome! Sounds yummy!

Edit: Well, it’s time that I get going. Talk to you again soon!

They are! What’re you up to today??

I got Dan Scanlon’s autograph today!! It’s in the How to Get Pixarian Autographs thread! It was so cool!!

I saw that! That’s the coolest thing ever, you actually got a hand-written reply. Congrats!!

It absolutely made my day. Dan Scanlon is now my second-favorite Pixar director, behind only JL.

Dude that’s awesome, congrats! You should frame it!

Katie and Miss Carrera: I love previews too! My brothers and I were talking the other about how movie trailers nowadays make movies look way better than they really are… some previews are so witty and hilarious, heartbteaking, stirring, and exciting all at the same time, I just love that. And I can’t stand missing the previews in theaters either… like one of you said, it’s part of what makes theaters so exciting.

S 330: Aw, shucks. Sorry to hear that. :frowning: Doesn’t it always seem like when you’re looking forward to something, it always gets postponed or canceled or something else gets in the way? I can’t stand it when that happens.

I did the worst thing yesterday. I took a handful of Hershey’s Kisses and stuck it in my pocket, planning to save them for later. It’s super hot right now though, so later on when I went to eat them, it was a big mess of melted chocolate. I’d stuck my phone in that pocket, too. 8D

Gosh, I’m so getting on to myself for not knowing this, but… who’s Dan Scanlon? Does he direct shorts?

Dan Scanlon is the director of Monsters University isn’t he?

Ding: I do plan on framing it.

Snipe: He directed Mater and the Ghostlight and, yes, he is directing MU.

So, my plan is that when the Pixar project scheduled to come out Thanksgiving 2013 is announced and if it’s a new director, I was planning on sending a letter to the director to wish him luck.
