Hey guys! How was everyone’s day? It’s 10:14 as I type this Evangeline. High five for Eastern time :stuck_out_tongue:

I forget who mentioned A Thousand Splendid Suns (I think it was Sean), but whoever it was, if you haven’t read it yet, you must do so right away! It’s an amazing read, I cried a total of 3 times through the course of that book.

So guess what; I got a puppy today! Since we recently moved into a house, my mom decided to get a guard dog, since the dog we have is small and cowardly 8D So now I have three dogs: Lucky the yorkshire terrier at my dad’s house, and Tyson the pomeranian/papillon mix and the so far unnamed german shepherd/border collie mix at my mom’s. It’s a girl. I like the name Alaska, or just Laska, but my mom likes Harley. What do you guys think?

Aaaaw, awesome! Dogs are great, mine’s asleep right now. You have a yorkie? Seamus (my dog) is a yorkie poodle mix. He’s a yorkie poo. My mom hates saying his breed to people who ask :slight_smile:

I like Alaska, it sounds really pretty. A german shephard/bordie collie sounds adorable.

I haven’t seen her yet, my mom is still bringing her home now. But from the pictures I saw, she’s super cute :smiley:

I just love the name Alaska. It’s so cool! I actually got it from a book. I don’t really like human names for dogs, like Mike or Sally. I prefer out of the ordinary names for pets. When I first got my rat, I went through a whole list of weird names for him, most of them based off of Greek deities. I like Socrates, Acheron, Cocytus, Phlegethon, Lethe, Hades, Dionysus
eventually I settled on Dexter 8D

Dexter’s a great name for a rat. Did you ever see Dexter’s Lab on Cartoon Network, I think? Whenever I hear that name I think of that show :slight_smile: I wish I could pronounce half of those names that could’ve been for your rat. :slight_smile:

Alaska is an awesome name, I hope that’s what she gets. I really don’t care if it’s a person name for my pets or not. I don’t know many Seamuses XD bed time byee!!
