Oh yea, BIG jump. Admiring public artists’ ability to sketch people, I made it a goal to be able to do so myself…so I just sat down one art class and tried. I decided to do famous people so it would be easier to ask people how true it was to its reality counterpart…
Pixfan - Hey, now that’s a neat idea! You know, your art kind of reminds me of that of an acquaintance of mine who used to attend the same church I attended. His style of drawing was kinda like yours. Heheh.
Funny you pointed that out, I was afraid to color them in because I really didn’t know how! I didn’t wanna ruin it, so get used to seeing “them” like that.
Besides, I was still new at this!
Hypnotically speaking Think of 'em as “sketches”, maybe that’ll make it seem a little less weird…
I’ve just been looking at some of your drawings, and they’re really quite good! One of my friends drew kinda like that the few times she’s actually drawn real people.
What makes this one special is a few things. One, the fact that drawing “braids” was practically impossible for me to do then and two, I 've drawn another pic of him recently and the improvement shows now that I look at this one…(you’ll see that one soon enough)
Hip hop’s retired (but no really) Sean “Jay-Z” Carter…
Still 15…(this was definitely on of the harder pieces done this year, I talking about 5 do-overs before I got this one right.)
