Anybody got any photos from this old resturant/arcade? I would like to see how many things they had from the film. Since the Location closed. There’s a rumor going around that the resturant will be rethemed into The Muppets. There’s some hope that they will move the location to Toy Story Land coming soon. They can make the location much more true to the film and keep some of the games from the film too.
They really didn’t have anything from the film. It was a generic arcade.
The only things that were from the film were the alien claw machine and the whack an alien I heard.
The Alien claw machine was at first a display
when i went to M.G.M in 2002-2003ish, The claw machine was working and had stuffed aliens and a few Buzzes.
They closed Pizza Planet? Man, that’s a shame. Yeah, the only attractions directly inspired by the film were the crane game and the Whack-A-Alien machine, both of which were unique to only Pizza Planet. Though it’s worth noting that additional models were made by Ice Games for other arcades (without any Toy Story images). The Space Crane used to have rubber Aliens near the film’s release, which is awesome, but they were later replaced with generic plush aliens when I went in the early-2000s.
In terms of arcade games, the only one actually seen to be a real game was Pong, which was called Annihilator. The rest of the games seem to be based off 80s arcade classics. It looked like some were inspired by Pole Position and Scramble.
I wrote a sizable article about everything featured in Pizza Planet:

Yes sadly they closed Pizza Planet, PizzeRizzo will be Opening This Fall at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I hope Toy Story Playland in the parks will have a resturant, and lets hope it’s Pizza Planet being relocated.
