I feel like such an idiot… I have no idea what spamming is. Can someone please explain that to me. I certainly don’t want my privileges to be revoked.

Bill: Spamming is when you advertise something or post chain messages.

I’m glad I never got any of this; if I got a PM it would freak me because I often think I’ve done something wrong. And spam is so freakin’ obnoxious. >_<

Pretty much what FONY stated but here’s a couple more versions,

Spamming can contain pointless (usually one word or smileys) messages, this also includes random (and most of the time idiotic) questions.

Example:

PM message: …
or
PM message: Hi…
or
PM message: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:… etc.

There’s plenty of other ways but that’s the overall idea of it.

I don’t think I have done something like before, but at least I now know what not to do later on.

For the record, we’ve had a problem with members PMing other members a LOT even AFTER being asked NOT to PM them anymore on a certain subject. No means NO! If someone asks you to stop then stop and if they tell us you aren’t then we will simply revoke your PM priviledges. Simple as that. Nothing to fear unles you’re sending people stuff they don’t want.

As a matter of fact, unless anybody is actually being affected by this problem, please don’t post here anymore.

Just remember, guys, your safety comes first. If anyone bothers you or says anything inappropriate to you, let us know straight away in a PM or an e-mail and we’ll take of it. Don’t feel embarrassed about it, but remember we can’t stop it unless we know about it!!

Eheh. Actually, I have received a generous bout of obnoxious e-mails from random people – e-mails that advertise/promote various pills and/or drugs. I know this problem is not PM-related, but I suppose that it applies as far as incoming messages are concerned. I would like to keep my e-mail address accessable to the members of Pixar Planet, but I am getting pretty sick and tired of these random, annoying e-mails from unknown senders. I suppose that it’s inevitable, though. If anyone can access my e-mail address then…oh well…

As for PMs, I have never received or sent anything that relates to spamming, and I hope that I never will…
