The only monsters I cared to remember, are the starters for each new version.
Is it just me or do all the new monsters look the same?
I think they look kinda weird to me. I’ve owned Diamond since it came out, but I think the new generation is taking a little longer for me to get used to. There are a lot that are evolutions of the previous pokemon. Maybe that’s why they look the same? ![]()
And I watched the first 3 seasons, before I dropped it. Still recording it though. I miss the old voice actors.
Bit amazing how Ash is voiced by a woman.
I mean not that woman can voice men and vice-versa, but I suppose it was a surprise to most people heh.

Pikachu is voiced by a woman as well - but that’s to be expected.
Exactly. for instance, you get two monsters, plusle and minun, [if I spelled it right] who totally look like the stage before Pikachu, Pichu, However, they have no relation to Pikachu whatsoever.
What annoys me is that they keep creating evolved forms from
the old guys. I mean, if you look at the newest batch that’s come out, you’ll see an evolved form of Mamar
and Electabuzz, and two more evolutions of Eevee.
@_@ Eevee man…way to many evolutions.
XD;;
Poke’mon is awesome though…but i HATE the new voice of Ash in he english dub.
You can say that again. I believe there is one eevee stage for every type out there.
I have to say though that Eevee was
probably one of my favorites.
I just love the design of that character.
Oh I most agree with that. And his evolutions are really clever and cool as well.
Here are the newest Eevee evolutions: Leafeon:

Glaceon:
Aww, they both looks so cute and cool. However, those still
can not beat Jolteon, or Vaporeon as my favorites.
I calculated 29% of the 4th batch of Pokémon are either
pre- or post-evolutions of Pokémon from previous batches.

I was a Pokémon maniac in my younger days, and actually remained a fan up through Ruby and Sapphire. LeafGreen and FireRed was when my devotion began to falter… Before that, though, I loved everything (well, almost everything, the TV show was only good when I was a wee thing) about it. Heck, I used to make up my own Pokémon and share them online, those were the days. But I’m rambling.
My main issue with the direction that the games are going actually isn’t the huge numbers of new Pokémon, I kind of like seeing the new ones each time, might have something to do with having invented my own way back when. What turned me off was the incredible lack of story. The whole Eight Gyms thing worked great the first time, and was forgiveable the second time, but it’s now just unabashed rehashing of things because they know that people will buy the games anyways and so they don’t need to come up with anything better. Colosseum was a fantastic effort, but unfortunately the elimination of wild Pokémon and the difficulty that it takes to earn EXP made it not work in the end. What I want to see is a game that gets rid of the gyms in favor for a brand new, bona fide RPG plotline, but keeps the traditional battle and capture systems. If they do that then I will be first in line to jump back onboard, but until then I’ll just pop in my Blue every now and then when I get bored and not buy any of the new ones they come up with.
