Just wondering whether anyone on here is getting ready for the
season of exams coming up, be it at a high school level or at college or whatever. I’ve just been preparing a
revision timetable for the next few months, so the thought came to me to ask you guys if you were all getting
ready for these fun times!

My exams don’t come until the end of the school year, so no.
But (and correct me if I’m way off here) but isn’t the
school year ending about June?

does the happy dance because I’m homeschooled
Yeah, I won’t have
to deal with exams until I go into public school this year (thank goodness). Heck, I don’t even know what exams
are to tell you the truth.

LG- Yep. It does end in June.
But I have to stay two extra days because we had an electric malfunction and a snow day at our school, so instead
of getting out on the 13th of June (and I was unhappy with that) , we are now getting out on the 15th.
But you will have to do like, your final
exams, won’t you? And to be able to do those as well as possible, you’ll need to practice and stuff. I’ve no
idea how many ‘mock’ exams we’ve had over the years, but by the time it actually comes to the final thing in a
few months, it won’t seem like anything special at all.
Well, I’m homeschooled too, but I still have to take exams!
But I’m
pretty far behind, I’m still finishing up midterm!

Yes. We will have to do our final exams.
Bill- So they actually add
the days that you’ve missed onto the end of the year? That must be so annoying! But, funnily enough, it means
that you’re finishing on exactly the same day I have my last exam- physics!
But can you do your
exams at home, or do they all have to be at school with everyone else?

LG - Yeah, and I have to go back to school on August 27th!!!
And I do have to
do them in school.
Bill- Wait, you mean you have to go back then for the new
school year? That seems so early! That’s a real shame! But the holidays will still be pretty long nonetheless-
about 2 months? Time to relax!
Yep , in May
. We have the MCAS ( Massachusetts comprehensive something something ) it’s just like the SAT’s , only if you
skip a question you get points off so they make you finish the test … and in high school you still have to take
the SAT . Well , at least I get like a week of no homework or tests !

LG - So you sense my anger
and feel my pain. Hehe.
Well, I have tests
every week, but no real exams.

At times like this I am so glad to be out of school.

My classes ended in the beginning of April, so I’m in
the middle of exams. I finished one and have two more to go, and my piano jury. My next exams is on Saturday…
waaah!
Aggie- Proabably the worst time is when you’re right in the middle of them. But
good luck with your next exam! It’ll be over and done with sooner than you think!
I think it’s also
the amount that they give us to do- sometimes it’s just a bit extreme, TBH. I have sixteen exams all in all, and
some weeks, it’s just exams every day. I don’t see how they expect us to be able to prepare for each and every
one of them.
I never prepare or study for an exam- which
is really stupid on my part. I somehow always manage to jump the fence, barely. =P I’m going to try
much harder in college though.
FONY- Yeah, I think it’ll probably be a bit easier to have some
kind of motivation in college, since you’re focusing on just a few subjects and it’s more in-depth and more
interesting generally.
Mitch:
Ya dont want ta know.
But since you said you were going to enter ‘real’ school
soon,
?Ahhhhhh, si!
You gonna know the pain then, of what it means to take…, An
Exam :P!!
But na, I promise it willnt be that bad for ya Mitch. All I will have to say on
this, is be prepared when you enter.
Some tests and a few exams at that most,
could be a cool breeze for you *
