production budget, includes marketing?

The production budget of a movie, does it include the amout of money used for marketing?

Here are the production budgets of Pixar (taken from boxofficemojo)
The incredibles $92 million
Nemo $94 million
Monsters Inc $115 million
Toy Story 2 $90 million
Cars $120 million
Ratatouille $150 million
Wall-e $180 million

i think the marketing is apart, but can’t find an official link or something from movies in general.

thanks

No, production budgets do not include marketing. I’m sure they include marketing in their budget, it’s just that the phrase “production budget” specifically refers to the production (from labor to resources) of the film.

One interesting note, WALL-E is the most expensive Pixar film by far. I am also surprised that The Incredibles was done for so cheap compared to the more recent Pixar films, as its so visually enthralling.
